Please can you tell me the clearance between the drip tray and the portafilter on the micra? Ive been looking online for a few days and cant find the dimensions despite lots of people saying the clearance is an issue. Thanks
So my question is how does a company like Starbucks remineralize their water to the same standard regardless of the location? Is the remineralization cartridge customized based on the location and how can I achieve the same at home ?
JUNE 2024 - EUREKA SD STILL WAY TOO MUCH VIBRATION. I purchased this grinder new in Australia. I had read all about the first batch's vibration issues, and that they'd been resolved. Sadly, these ORO Single Dose units still have 3-4 times the vibration of Eureka's upright grinders, even vs the XL with same 65mm burr set. I was shocked and disappointed, so I drove to the distributor to compare the Eureka range. The vibrations on their display Single Dose were almost as bad as the one shipped to me. I believe it is a fundamental flaw with the 15 degree tilt of the motor.
I enjoyed you displaying this machine. I currently have a Rancilio siliva and it's a great beginner machine. I like the fact this machine has a heat exchange and you can steam and brew with relative ease. In the future I'll upgrade to a fancier machine.
I am surprised you would label the Rocket as commercial grade machine. To my knowledge, there are no commercial machines build with an E 61 grouphead. Even Rocket’s own commercial machine do not have e61 group heads. I think this is misleading. I think you are probably making more money selling Rockets than la marzocco. E61 machines are popular because they are cheap to build. The innovation la marzocco is bringing with their micra is pretty amazing, such as a 5 to 8 mn heat up time as an example….for full disclosure I own neither machines.
I am new to espresso and just recently bought a nomad espresso machine. I already had the Orphan espresso lido 3 for an espresso grinder. I need a scale recommendation. I appreciate all of the support.
there are no asbestos in the seals.. WTHeck...... abestos was used insulate the boiler, thats all.. saying there's asbestos in the seals suggests users will be exposed to water touching asbestos.. smh
We've had its predecessor from 2019-2021 and the current model from 2021 until the present. Vast improvement on the old model. We are now extremely fussy about what commercial coffee we buy these days, as most don't compare to what we make at home. Using Grinders Giancarlo Espresso blend (arabica and robusta) with a Fiorenzato grinder. Always using a naked porta filter. Upgrading to a R91 later this year!
Do you think this could hold up in small volume cafe....maybe 8-10 drinks per hour scenario? I spotted a used one for $2500 (canadian).....that or a brand new ecm Synchronika (around $4200 cad)
On my machine, the pressure increases so high that the safety valve then does its thing and releases a lil pop and lots of steam comes out. What could that be teh cause of that issue? i assume not the anti vaccum as if it was the issue, i would have no pressure? Here is a video of mine that shows this anti-vacuum valve ru-vid.comn7GBx5rk3U0
Thanks for the video. I ordered La Marzocco Linea Micra today. I wanted something where hot water is not in contact with any plastic. Now I just heard about the plastic portafilter. Is it touching the boiling water? Thanks.
Were you able to find a better deal than MSRP? I’m really torn between a couple machines, but if I can get a little break on the LM that will probably be enough to help me make my decision. Thank you.
For shop, I prefer Leva X. Because it looks cool, it provides constancy and easy to use; for advanced home use, I would go for GS3, it is a lot smaller, lighter, and have unlimited freedom to around with pressure profile, however, it also means that every shot from GS3 is “unique”.
i see a lot of people saying that even the c3esp does not have small enough steps to dial in for an espresso, what do u think? is it able to have minor changes without chocking running too quick shots?
I love it it had a pedigree background. ! Someof the biggest names in grinders. But how about the dingle dose and magnets ? It cannoy run without the hopper?
Have the Eureka Atom 60 in Hulk Green, it’s epic grinder, super quiet and quick, nice fluffy coffee, it’s paired up with Bambino 😬due to limited budget, currently waiting for gear from Pesado 58.5 hopefully 🤞 it will work out, lots to learn for sure
