Great stuff Bobby. What you have done these last three years is nothing short of remarkable and, at some point soon, needs to be told as a complete "standalone" story. What you have accomplished after a life threatening, and life changing health catastrophe is inspiring. You are an inspiration for your courage, dedication, and commitment. That you have also found the time and energy to help others along the way, from the young South African woman you rescued (and that is, in my opinion, exactly what you did) from an untenable situation in the Caribbean, to your recent post hurricane relief work, continuously demonstrates who you are as a human being. Well done, and Thank You!
Hey Bobby, great content! I’ve always been power boater. I started watching your videos and now I plan to start charting and getting into sailing. Keep up the great work!
Jeff seems like a very competent broker. I used a broker for a recent purchase with no survey..Purchased as-is. I took me 4 months to get a title and registration using a documentation service in the PNW. I will do everything in my power to avoid that experience again. I also buy my homes without agents, choosing to use attorneys. Saves me thousands.. I would trust Jeff and Dennison's as they are a huge brokerage. If I ever needed those kinds of services.. You don't last in a profession unless you're professional...
Nice interview Bob. I wish I had been aware of the sailing life 30 years ago. I live in Florida, ( on the freak’n coast ) but was never introduced to the possibilities of sailing. Just damn!!!!
This is one of your best pod casts. This gentleman was very informative and interesting. I'm about 70 miles from his office and will make an appointment to speak with him. I think they have a yacht I've been watching and would like to talk with him about it. Good luck with your new boat.
Hey Bobby you should listen to the guy from Zatara and his thoughts on the lack of support from these boat brokers. After they sell you the boat they have know back up service what's so ever, have a look very enlightening cheers luv your new Podcast and crew
Mobile Data in the USA is such a rip off, here in the UK (Black Friday Deals) you can get a 5G ready SIM Card with Unlimited Mins, Text & Data for £26 per month on a rolling 30 day contract, if you’re willing to commit to a 12 month contract you can get it even cheap £22 (under $30)......£26 is under $35. I pay £10 ($13) for Unlimited Mins & Text with 12Gb of 4G Data......which is more than enough for me.
I will disagree with you on the charter provisioning. We just finished our charter in Puerto Rico, and we did our own provisioning. We finished the charter with only a half bottle of mustard and two apples. True disclosure, my wife does food service for a living. Actually she is a chef.
Jim Milligan this is just his Hustle trying to create more income streams. That's not necessarily a bad thing as long as you are offering people something that they are willing to pay for but then again most people are willing to pay for his or her own destruction.
Accountant, Tax Attorney, Accelerated Depreciation, Charter Service Management, Provisioning, Multiple Listing Service? Glad to know your other viewers have enough scratch to buy a new Bene, Lagoon, Glastron...
Hi no bobby at 56 I bought my 1st boat a 1976 S&S 60 foot steel hull . No experience and not much $ . Life is short and you must leave behind all social conditioning to be free. Learn by doing and adventure takes courage not from the comfort of a house .
No insult to this guy but I have only met one honest, straight shooter broker that actually had good knowledge of the boat listed. Most are bordering on lazy idiots....maybe they're good pushing the paper work through? I've found most brokerages lack knowledge of the boat. Once I drove 4 hours to see a boat and found it was listed incorrectly. The keel was a deep draft, the broker insisted it was a shoal draft as listed...I had to prove to him it was the deep draft model with a tape measure. The same fool insisted all Beneteau's use only iron for the keels...I spent more time arguing with him that Beneteau uses lead on several shoal keel models. I also learned the hard way driving 6+ hours to find "meticulously maintained", "excellent care by owner" and "yard maintained" means the boat is in crap condition.
