Just got a 2004 ex awd with 144,000 miles on it for $3,800.. I'm the 3rd owner. The previous owner, for the 5 years he owned it, had put about $9,000 into it. I'm happy with the purchase. Such a joy to get into it every time
I know this video is old but watching all these element videos made me impulse buy one, got me a 2010 ex auto fwd.. really wish I waited for a awd standard but I’m in love so far.. would love to hang out with all of you in the future

10-21-2022. Just bought mine for $4000. 2007 SC Model. 140K Miles. This was WELL UNDER Market Value. Seller said "IT NEEDS RIGHT FRONT STRUT". There had been a constant stream of people looking at it. At that price I was the first one there with CASH IN HAND. I EXPECTED it to have MORE problems than stated and I was right. ALL Struts front and back are being replaced. There was NO GIVE in the Suspension AT ALL. The constant banging had destroyed the right side Lower Support and complete brake job needed as well. Everything else is near perfect so no complaints. After the "amateur" lowering job is corrected I will be getting some decent tires to replace the POOREST excuse for a Tire: Achilles ATR SportZ. They are hard as a ROCK. NO traction at all.
@@Element_lifestyle '08 EX AWD! Only 92k miles, all work done at a Honda dealership. very clean, couldn't find a spot of rust on it. I even looked at the hinges under the flap of the tailgate. The Seats weren't even ripped. The owner took outstanding care of it.
Bought mine 2004. Now 250K. No AC, radio, paint discolored by tree sap, not sure anymore on hills, someone tried to steal the catalytic converter (now welded on), need new shocks. But I still love it. But one if you can. I"d like to see someone turn an old element into an RV, taking out the engine and reusing the shell for living quarters.
You mentioned a middle location for meetups between west coast and Tail of the Dragon. If there is a lot of mountain/gravel bike crossover in the community, Northwest Arkansas may be a good option.
Hello from New York City, this was a really informative video. Wish you were on the east Coast. It's tough for a woman to get an honest quote when certain work needs to be done on a car. I'm looking to buy an Element, and from my research, it shows that the 2005, 2007, 2010 & 2011 are the best years to try to get. Would you agree? Any additional information would be appreciated. I found a little rust inside the car, drivers side. Visible when you remove the side panel to remove the gauge cluster. I have never seen that in any car I have owned.
I watched this hoping to see exactly what parts underneath the car to look for rust on. Like the trailing arms and what else? Also, how do you know if the rust is light and ok to buy, or if it’s too much rust and not worth it.

Gracias looking to buy another one my current one went out had it for 16 years! The motor mouths need to get fixed so I hope! Still gonna try and keep it. Finding a mechanic in LA is so hard. Any recommendations welcomed.
Thank you , nothing bad with having a 2WD especially if you just city driving. Awd just add more resale value to an element and the awd could help people in the snow on when car camping in other different types of terrain

@@mustangjoe8352 I don’t recall any of my other cars with rust problems like this. I have a BMW 86 325es that I bought new and gave to my oldest son no rust whatsoever. I regularly run my car through the car wash and they also wash the under carriage. I live in NYC but my car is garaged
I unfortunately didn’t find your channel until after I bought my Element. I have loved learning from your videos. I respect your opinion as to what I should do. I found out today I have a bad transmission mount because my rack and pinion is leaking on it and disintegrated it (basically). In addition my struts are leaking and so is my variable valve timing solenoid. I’m trying to decide if my element is worth fixing. I love it but things keep popping up with it. What do you recommend? (Just interested in your opinion)
So your around a lot of different year elements, I’ve seen they say stay away from the 03-04 and 07-08 elements, what’s your opinion? I’m trying to find one for myself
