If you feel like building a 5" Freestyle Drone is too hard, you just need the right guidance.
So, I built a course with 71 highly detailed but simple modules, breaking down absolutely everything! They're can't be anything missing, if there is, I will add it. In this video, I'm recommending the perfect first FPV radio controller for someone just starting out in the world of FPV. This radio is perfect for newbies because it's easy to use and has a lot of features at a very reasonable price.
If you're looking for a radio controller to start out with, THIS FPV Radio Controller is a perfect choice! This controller is easy to use and has a lot of features at a very reasonable price. Plus, it's compatible with a lot of different drones, so you can find a compatible drone to start flying right away!

Jumper T12 pro comes with hall Gimbels. I paid around a hundred bucks about a year or two ago for mine and it still works great. I just put an ELRS module in the JR bay. The Radiomaster TX 12 is my second transmitter I purchased this year for the same price. Happy transmitter hunting.

I've been using a Jumper T16 since shortly after it came out and then when the TX16S MK II came out I felt like it was finally time to upgrade so I ordered one and then right after that they announced the Boxer lol. SO I got a Boxer and I freakin love it. As you mentioned, you give up the pretty touch screen and some switches but I think this will be my main radio now. I also have a tango II and it's nice when you need a small transmitter so I'll probably keep it for that purpose, but I'm slowly migrating to ELRS for most things and the boxer fits in my hands so nicely that I don't want to use anything else. I hybrid pinch and it's just perfect for that IMO.

I mounted the T antenna/ dipole inside of JR module box. It requires you to make cutouts for antenna and SMA connector. I bought the 4IN1 version and do not need to use the JR bay. The Boxer is the perfect size for me and I also installed the AG01 sticks.

Instead of the hot glue you could have used black sugru or even some black threebond. Both would blend better with the housing than hot glue

This is spot on, but the T-pro has lousy switch settup, they sell a upgraded back housing that fixes that, also it to slippery, i would drip it, but you can get grippie stickers for that. I sent it back due to that before the mod was released, i ended up with the zorro, your spot on about it, i ugly modded it for full sized 18650s and have flown all day on it, I've never had to raise it from 100mw and I've flown a long ways on it, i love the zorro, why did they never do a zorro 2 with 18650 and the full size gimbals, I'm waiting for that! Boxer is nice, but my hands are pretty crippled up, and like game pad style better for comfort

@@DarrenAllatt i just wish they would do a v2 to fix that, i still use mine as a daily, but would buy a revised zorro in a heartbeat if they fixed that one issue, but would love the better aluminum gimbals too, that would be perfection for me, 1w would be a bonus

I’m torn between buying a dedicated ELRS radio (Zorro) vs. adding an external module bay to my Tango II (which I think looks ugly). Any advice?
@DarrenAllatt
@DarrenAllatt Год назад
The Tango2 can’t get the most out of ELRS (or Tracer) because it can only handle 250hz packet rate. Which is more than enough anyway. Zorro is 250mw of output power, so you may need an external module anyway depending on your flying. I’d ad a module to the tango2 at first and see how you find ELRS because going for a dedicated radio

Jumper didn’t send me one, not sure I will buy one for the point of reviewing it. Just looking at it, probably as good as the Boxer with the exception of the screen. T20 has a tiny screen same as the T-Pro and T-Lite, so that’s a missed opportunity

I just bought a 4iin1 Jumper T pro. I got RX loss randomly with my 35 whoop. I got a miniwhoop and same thing... totally random range and timing an RX loss loss of telemetry and falls from the sky in failsafe. Pretty sad about it TBH and here in Thailand the seller doesn't really give a F. Also, after the crashes while testing.....my whoop thinks when it tilts forward it also tilts off to the side so I'm assuming it killed the Gyro :( FML
@DarrenAllatt
@DarrenAllatt Год назад
RX Loss is common with Frsky because it has poor range & penetration. Whoops using frsky don’t have the best range. You just need to calibrate your gyro. Plug it into Betaflight on a flat surface and click calibrate accelerometer

This whole FPV is crazy. I had to stop little over 3 years ago, digital was NOT a thing and the best radios were tannaris. It's really like Inam starting all over, I have about 10 quads all analog and old fatsharks.. i literally don't want any of it anymore. So I basically am a newb all over again, as far as flying, not quite like riding a bike but only took about an hour on sim to get muscle memory back. Sorry no idea why I typed all this. No one but me cares lol but anyways I'm definitely going elrs. I'm not sure about hd0 or walksnail or dji, that's where i am lost

@Darren Allatt @Darren Allatt just seems dji is best but then i see reviews and hdo is best. Then walksnail is best, now new hd0 goggles well they are the best. I went and just got the dji fpv kit so I can see. Also going to replace my XD9 controller, but not sure if I should keep dji as dji and get hd0 for build quads. I actually like building them almost more than flying. My kit will be here is few days. Now i am wondering if i should have just got the dji ciniwoop with the new dji goggles 2 instead of the v2. Ugg as for controller going for tx16s MKII, not sure if i should get the 4 in 1 and addon the elrs since that can get 1w and can still run my older quads like the babyhawk, tiny hawk and all the 5 inchers, they are all crossfire.. definitely not going to add hd or change xfire to elrs. you see my brain is racing with all these decisions 🙄

@@cheeseNrice69 Ok, which is BEST is the wrong question, because it's subjective to each pilot and their use case. If you fly long range, DJI O3 has a hard cut off at 20kms, but if you normally hit 50kms - well, then it's not the best If you need the lowest latency in your FPV Feed, then DJI at 30ms is not the best, HDZero aka HDZ (not HD0) is "the best" If you need to fly across all segments of FPV, Whoops, Micros, 5" Freestyle, Racing... DJI is not the best the way people measure "the best" is based upon picture quality, but this is just like saying which Car is the best because it looks nice. - it doesn't consider the engine underneath it - it doesn't consider the use case DJI to me is like a Rolls Royce car, HD-Zero is a Ferrari/Lambo/koenigsegg and Walksnail is a Bently/Lexus/BMW. Which is best? - depends on the user and the use case I have all 3 systems, for me, I get motion sickness when flying DJI O3, but I don't get that on Walksnail or HD-Zero You really need to understand your use case and what you fly to then make an informed decision about which system is "BEST FOR YOU". If you like Building more than Flying, then why spend $229 on DJI O3, when you can spend $159 on Walksnail Regarding Radios and Crossfire vs ELRS. - unless you have a bunch of stuff that you still fly that on Frsky, then a 4in1 is pointless. I'd go ELRS - you still need to add your crossfire module anyway - most stuff coming out is ELRS with an Crossfire option, so this way you'd be covered for best of both worlds.

I'm a thumber, with Presidential-sized hands. I went with the original Radiomaster TX12 Multi when it came out, with the plan to upgrade. Over time, I slapped in the AG01 minis, acquired a 1-watt Happymodel ES24TX Pro ELRS module, and installed EdgeTX. I can't be happier. It's ideal for my needs. I'd go so far to say that if you're a small-handed thumber, you have the ideal form factor in the TX12. The MkII has Hall sensors, and there's an ELRS version - it's a great first radio for you.
