Hey that's pretty nifty, will having two chip keys in the same vehicle cause a problem for the computer? Say the passenger has a key in his pocket and the driver has a key in his pocket or in the ignition could there be problems there?

My original key is an integrated circuit that draws power for the transponder from the fob cr3032 battery, (transponder is soldered to the circuit board). The new key has a stand alone transponder that's NOT fixed or soldered (like the one you are showing in the video) that powers via the receiver ring. How do I make that work besides hiding the whole (old) key in the column somewhere?

i do this on my citroen 2008 it works well .i dont know about other vehicle

I've done many this way and I use hot glue seems to work best.

I own a 2005 Chrysler Crossfire. Basically a Mercedes Slk CLK. I dropped my key fob it broke open and this transponder fell out. Mercedes or Chrysler does not support this car any longer and do not make keys for them and if you find one it must be linked to your car by vin # I have heard they charge $700. I am now afraid my other key gets damaged or lost. Many of us who own these cars are screwed I wish some one could develope a bypass the SKREEM SYSTEM . Who needs such a complicated security on a 15 yr old car. Thats why I have insurance . does anyone know how to copy these transponder chips to make multiple ones as back up when you loose or Damage a key. This is scary as hell !!!

My keys got ran over! My clicker works to lock unlock doors but key won't start van now..2000 Ford Windstar...is my chip destroyed? What's the fix for that if there is one...or do I have to pay 100' S for replacement?? Appreciate any help!

Kind of a deceptive title. This doesn't "BYPASS" anything. You're still using the transponder. Wish i could find a way to actually ditch it. I hate the thing. Nothing but trouble waiting to happen. They do more harm than good. I could understand on a high dollar car or something special but i don't get why we're forced to have one these days except just something else to make the dealer more money by making you pay them to fix it or to disable your car in the future to sell more new ones. This is the stuff that keeps people from putting in a new engine or anything. Nobody hardly wants to deal with it. Anyone actually know how to bypass it so it's not existent? If it was really bypassed i could stick a new computer in the car without all the money to buy a new programmer or taking it to a dealer.

Dude I spent like 4 hours trying. My original key wouldn't even work until I soldered it back to the board

So the chip has not actually powered by the battery in the key fob? So basically if your key fob battery is dead the car should still start??

Don't use anything like super glue ,cause if it gets hot it will mess up your chip and then you won't be able to use your car

You’re not bypassing anything you’re taking the chip out of the key and putting it close to the RF receiver so it gets the signal .
