I've been told it fits on a lot of GSXR's but I don't know for sure. It's a fairly distinct 2 pin plug that is very popular throughout the Japanese bikes. If you order it and it doesn't work you can send it back for a full refund -shipping.
No prob. If you want, hmu on the contact page of kawasakibrad.com (I don't want to post my email here or I'll get spammed to death). I can give you my info from there and if you send me pics I can confirm if it will work or not.
So what happens if you just unplug it and don't have that little plug to go where the original one was? I have kind of an obscure chinese bike so idk how easy it would be and I'm getting a bit bored of having to sit on it every morning whilst it warms up.
My bike dosent start in gear and my clutch switch is fine, so why would shorting out the kickstand switch work as my bike won't start with kickstand down if its in gear or in neutral..? I'm puzzled!
@@speeddemon370 but if I'm in gear with the engine running and I put my kickstand down the engine stalls so sounds like the kickstand switch is working. Where do I go from here?
@@stephenwoods4175 there are only two things to keep the bike from starting in gear. Clutch switch and kickstand switch. If your bike is not starting in gear there is something wrong with one of those.
Sometimes when I go to turn on bike it won't turn over but then I wiggle the kickstand it works I think over years because it's a 05 gsxr600 that the spring has stretched a d don't make contact fully. Why does bikes come with this is it really a big deal to start it while on kickstand lol..
It's not a big deal to start it on a kickstand. They just don't want you to drive away with the kickstand down. Sounds like the spring would be an easy fix.
Good fix, want to do this on my 2018 KLX 250. I'd have to assume your plugs (kickstand and clutch) will work on mine. Will report back with my findings
Bought the plugs and did the install. Clutch plug took 5 seconds. The kickstand plug was a bit harder but that has nothing to do with the product and more the design of the Klx250. The plug is located near the top of the rear shock, to access it I had to remove the gas tank. Also to remove the kickstand switch side you need to loosen a zip tie that is again located close to the rear shock, it's very difficult to get to even with the bike stripped. Fortunately my kickstand switch was already destroyed from a crash so I just cut the old plug off and the kickstand switch wire slides out of the ziptie. A bit hard to explain exactly, Will have a video up on my channel in the next week if anyone wants to see. Entire job should take around 30-60 minutes give or take depending on skill level. Overall amazing product, especially for offroading. Really nice to not have to get the bike into neutral to start it when you're stuck half way up a hill about to fall over. Also as I saw the kickstand switch is very vulnerable, I low sided at about 25km/h in gravel and it was messed up. Luckily it wasn't bad enough I could get the bike started and ride home with a little convincing from a rock and a zip tie.
