Hi, great video explanation. I need to know, what's in metrics formula? and what does it mean when the value of cooling coil total heat transfer is positive and negative?

Thank you for the great video. Where is 4.5 from and is it a conversation factor?

4.5 is a constant for standard air conditions. You can determine this by multiplying the weight of standard air at 0.075 Lbs/Ft3 x 60 Minutes/Hour = 4.5 (This is the density of air at sea level which has a barometric pressure of 29.92 in Hg)

@@VRFWizard I have a Diffusion pump. The pump is surrounded by copper coils for cooling. I wanted to know how the copper coil number of turns influence the design or cooling, as well as choosing other materials than copper for example Stainless steel. How will this impact. From Design point of view I am interested more to know about design calculation for Diffusion pump external cooling. How thermal conductivity influence and how no of turns,pipe size influence the design. Thanks for your support

@@nayeemrahiman3230 Any kind of prototype that you are building would have to be laboratory tested for accuracy if you're looking to market something. Of course the more surface area (Copper Tubing) you have, the greater the heat transfer capability. Stainless would make it much more expensive to build. If you trying to cool down the diffusion pump, then you would start by knowing how much heat the pump puts out. This way you could size the coil for the proper amount of heat. The greater the surface area, and the greater the Delta-T, the greater the heat will be transferred.

No it's not the Bypass Factor. The 4.5 is a constant that represents the standard conditions for air.

This includes both sensible and latent heat. The drop in dry bulb temperature from 76 db to 56 db involves sensible heat, while the drop in moisture involves latent heat.
