A few corrections - 4:29 - it's 1152, not 1154...have done calculations with 1152 ,but written 1154 by mistake !! Something you should avoid 😅 5:30- variance is 160,not 180 !! Standard deviation is 12.64

 @EnjoyMath When you are calculation St. Deviation how do you determine your denominator? Can you please explain when we are to use St. Deviation formula of sample data (n-1) vs St. Deviation formula of population data ? Thank you for your time!
@EnjoyMath
@EnjoyMath 8 месяцев назад
Yes, there are 2 formulae....population data means we know all the actual data and actual mean value...then we can use denominator as n. However, if there is any real life data, it is impossible to get the complete picture, we can only take a sample,that is sample data...then we keep denominator as n-1..... I think it should be mentioned in the question if it is sample data or population data for us to decide which formula to use..pls let me know if u have any questions

Tysm for all the efforts. Is the denominator supposed to be N or N-1, different sites and videos show different formulae. Please resolve this doubt.
@EnjoyMath
@EnjoyMath 6 месяцев назад
Thank you so much for the appreciation!! Yes, the denominator is different depending on if the data is sample data or population data. population data means we know all the actual data and actual mean value...then we can use denominator as n. However, if there is any real life data, it is impossible to get the complete picture, we can only take a sample,that is sample data...then we keep denominator as n-1..... I think it should be mentioned in the question if it is sample data or population data for us to decide which formula to use..however my observation is that for grade 11 cbse ncert ,they have used denominator as 'n'. pls let me know if u have any questions
