I had a close encounter with a wire on a shoot today. My Air 2S was creeping along in normal mode and constantly showing random numbers from the sensors. I got back and was checking it out and got the error..."system calibration required. Calibration via dji assistant 2 recommended. Anyway, I went down the rabbit hole exactly like you and got stuck. Your video got me re-calibrated again and saved me a lot of time. Great job. Thanks. 👍

Appreciate the help sir. This is my first drone and I got it about 2 weeks ago. Never knew about the dji assistant app or calibratingnthese sensors. I'm sure calibrating is a good thing, but what is the difference in performance out of the box versus calibrating these sensors ? I never got any warnings regarding vision system , but I figured it could only help. Thanks again, will be back for more!
@ghost1917
@ghost1917 2 года назад
Welcome to the channel…your sensors should be calibrated true…out of the box. But over time they may deviate which is why calibration may need to be performed. Also anytime the drone strikes something however slight may also cause a deviation. If at any point you experience erroneous sensor notifications this is also a sign you may need sensor calibration…enjoy your new drone….: )

Has the aircraft suffered any impacts, that might have damaged the upward camera? How did you determine the left sensor isn’t working ?
@kingstonblendz300
@kingstonblendz300 Год назад
Yeah it fell after hitting a tree. So I determined it’s not working based on the on screen warning “upward sensor blocked,fly with caution” and on this calibration app in the bottom when going through all the other sensors calibration you can see what the sensors are seeing in black and white but when it switches to the upper ones I wasn’t seeing anything from the left sensor only the right one.
@kingstonblendz300
@kingstonblendz300 Год назад
Do you think i would have to order a senior replacement and if so do you have a tutorial on how to do the installation safely?
@ghost1917
@ghost1917 Год назад
Ok my guess is the left sensor was damaged in the crash. I would try doing a factory reset and then attempt the calibration process again to see if the reset fixed the camera problem. If it has not then you prob have to send drone back to DJI to have the camera replaced…hope this helps.
@ghost1917
@ghost1917 Год назад
There are several videos on RU-vid showing how to replace sensor but DJI doesn’t suggest owners attempting this themselves. I myself have not attempted a sensor replacement but can’t say I wouldn’t try if I needed to….: ) You can pick up the part online for about $80 US it’s a one piece module containing the forward and upward sensors and it seems like a pretty straight forward repair

It could be one of several issue but first you need to make sure your using the correct DJI Assistant for Air 2S. If you are using the correct version of DJI Assistant 2 then it is most likely your PC monitor screen resolution giving you the problem. Are you attempting calibration on a PC or a Mac.
