In this ep, Bri show's us how to camp with Dogs. Where to sleep them, food, activities and all the other fun stuff. She also introduces us to some of her favourite dog-friendly spots around the mid-north coast of NSW.
a set of long welding gloves should be in every campers arsenal ... great for fire stoking, picking up hot cooking gear, handling wire winch ropes etc etc
I'm glad you discovered the joy of solo camping, but I understand being a bit nervous about it. I'm a bloke and have camped up all over NSW alone and often have felt the same. Being able to bring your canine friend with you is a great way to overcome that. It's sad there are not more places you can do that.
Great ep. So nice to do this with your pupper & we think (as parents of females your age!) you are so brave for doing this solo. Your dog is gorgeous (just like ours!) & the doggy swag was great - confess that ours would end up snuggled up next to us (all 40kg of her!). Thanks for sharing this with us 🙏 ❤️ ✌️
Great episode Bree, your right about the mountain bike riding. Keep up the good work. I was in that area only a few weeks ago. Lots of dog friendly camps and some great lookouts, walks and waterfalls. Very quiet, and yes cold, during the week at this time of year. Always good to throw in a night of luxury when your also doing all the camera work, and patching up the shins. Keep it up. Cheers M
Great video Bree one of the best to mountain biking to bit of four wheel driving to camping and spending quality time with your best friend Lady. She is so gorgeous I wish I had a dog. So looking forward to seeing you on the next episode of Red dirt diaries
River wood Downs is a cracking spot, the drive through the Monkerai Valley just to get there is pretty specky just on its own.. many a trip there at the end of August for the B&S as a young fella..
Wow so close to my home town Clarence town absolutely loved it you ever done wallaroo state forest that was my front yard I use to know every track in there 30 years ago on horse back thunderbolts cave and the lookout looking at going next year for a trip down there I’m now based near the queensland border . From the lookout you could see yea gardens hawks nest
good to get out an about all on your own Bri have you tried Nundle state forest there is lots of tracks up there but also very cold in winter but very nice place
I always love taking my dog (Lab) everywhere with me, its so frustrating so many places are banned or restrictive, my 4wd club for example don't allow dogs,, yet people are more of the problem than a good dog, Id rather camp with my dog most of the time frankly. so great episode, plus nothing wrong with a bit of MTB either, though an e-mtn is cheating, haha, but a good way to get into it, I have had everything from DH to XC, now I just have a All Mtn Steel HT, goes everywhere and the dog loves it, he also cheats dogs aren't stupid, cutting trail is a dogs advantage plus they don't leave a track so no foul imo, let em run free, keep taking lady out with ya, enjoyed the episode thanks🤘 ps shout out to that camp, awesome to have people and places like that, hopefully more people will wake up to that kind of experience , that's how camps should be, not like Nazi concentration camps with high prices and no freedom and unfriendly hosts, this sounds amazing, so well done to them and there staff.
What’s the waterfall called and roughly where is it. That looks like a nice spot to visit. This episode is in my area for close weekend trips but I’ve never seen the waterfall before
I have a similarly sized chunky lady, and I really need to take her camping, but I'm always so paranoid about 1080 baits, it seems that just about every state forest near me (Newcastle) is constantly baiting, or is adjacent to a national park that's baiting :(
Typical staffie pudding. Our Fletch is the same. Doing a 73 day lap on my own next year. Would love to take him but too many national parks on the plan.
is she an amercan bully cross.. such a beautiful doggo... people dont understand the company of a big friendly dog. yes peiople big dogs are friendly.. they just want to say hi.. they dont bite lol❤❤
In this ep you have a most beautiful face and eyes what I have seen so far. But the Lady… . She is cute 🥰. Is looks lazy like me after 1,5 months of sound job. You should take it more often. Definitely. Take care 😉🤞
It’s a shame that the dog friendly campgrounds are always packed with people and dogs… so hard to find something secluded and private and dog friendly…
Old scardog (lion king name) has been on nearly every trip away for the last 5 years. Its un Australian not to be able to take ur best mate camping with u i think
