Ever wonder how to can pineapple? Today I show you how. Step by Step instructions for canning fresh pineapple. It's so simple! Quite possibly one of the easiest things to can. Great way to add fruit to your food storage pantry.
Canning Instructions:
Chop the pineapple into chunks. Large chunks, small chunks, or crushed. Your choice.
Pack raw pineapple into clean jars. Cover with boiling liquid.
I use 2 parts water to 1 part sugar.
Can in a water bath canner, processing 15 minutes for pints jars and 20 minutes for quart jars.
Let cool

Another option for the skin and core is you could dehydrate them and grind it into powder. The powder makes a great meat tenderizer.

I just bought 20 pineapples. They were 2 for 3.00. So I canned 14 of them just chunked and canned in extra lite syrup. Then I took one and made a double batch of apricot/pineapple jam. It was using dried apricots. Turned out really yummy. Then i still have 5 that i was waiting to ripen. They are ripe now. So tomorrow I'm turning them into pineapple salsa. Pineapple chunks in brown sugar rum syrup. And pineapple bbq sauce. Love getting a great sale!

"Go out and be a blessing".......some weeks back I commented on one of your posts when you used that same phrase, I now use it when ever possible in this covid world, it really makes some peoples days! I thank you for that phrase, for being a blessing to me and my wife, for your enjoyable posts, for showing the world solid Christian values by the way you live your lives! You know...you and your family are a beacon of light in a very dark and uncertain world. God bless and Merry Christmas! Ron. we're from west central MN by the way!

Hi Rhonda 🙋🏻‍♂️ Good video 👍🏻 ! I never really thought about canning pineapple but great idea! Unfortunately the canning lid shortage and price gouging of the ones that u do find is still there! I’ve got 40 lbs of tomatoes in the freezer still waiting to be canned ! To me it just doesn’t make sense to pay a dollar a lid to can them! However I will be finding lids before I start planting 2021s garden .

You know Rhonda you are a very capable woman especially with all the stuff you do around there. Seeing how you know how to use heavy equipment, power tools and hand tools and since it is your favorite knife 🔪 why don't you take a few moments out of some of your days and watch a few DIY videos on knife handle making so you can not only repair your favorite 🔪 but also put your on flare on it with the kind of wood you'd like to see on it for a new handle,. But if you don't like that Idea you could get some 2 part epoxy for repairing knife handles and reglue the handle back together until you have some time to make a new 🔪 handle for you knife after you watch how its done on RU-vid. If you do want to just repair the existing knife handle Walter Sorrells on RU-vid has a video called "Epoxy Basics for Knife Making-Part 2" you could get a few pointers from that video if you want . Anyways hope you don't mind my suggestion and by the way the Hay Trailer came out looking pretty nice and rigidly built tell your husband and sons I said nice work on getting that thing built.
