something about the water flow sound and your voice, yes your voice, your voice is very calming and relaxing! I know I know haha... I have a burle max too and its doing wonderful. warm regards!
So glad to have found your page on RU-vid! We have very similar taste in plants. You are quite knowledgeable & informative. I am learning quite a bit from you & it will really help. I just received my Burle Marx cutting about 1.5 weeks ago & I am in love. It has already grown 4-5 new leaves & was able to divide 1 cutting into 4 in just 10 days! The leaves on mine have a gorgeous blue undertone which i love. Also picked up My Calathea Musica :-) & a diff Calathea (So gorgeous)a few Hoyas, several Pothos, a Sansevieria, and a few Peperomia. I will bing watch your posts for all your helpful hints :-) Thanks for sharing your knowledge. It's greatly appreciated. Have a great week! Debbie
Nice video, as always. I love this plant! I ordered some cuttings in the spring and they were so large and generous I have 3 plants out of them! One almost didn't make it while it was adjusting but now it's doing better than the other two, but they are all doing great! The only thing, is once in a while a leaf will yellow and there are no pests, no change in water, light, etc. I think it might be an older leaf because the same plant has two new growths coming out. Thanks again!
Thank you Twisty!! I really appreciate how quickly it grows. Love the shape of the leaves and how glossy they are. Sometimes though I need to check myself and think if I'm liking the plant because of the hype surrounding it (esp for variegated plants) or for itself
Thank you for this excellent video. I received my P B Marx a few hours ago, and decided to search your channel for more information. Love watching your videos!
Hi Jessy, I just received my Philodendron Burle Marx, this video is very helpful and informative. I wish mine grows and thrive too like yours. Thanks for sharing and Phil Burle Marx is really a gorgeous plant 😍
Hey love! You're so welcome! I'm so excited for you! It will be really rewarding because it grows quite quickly (and i believe youre entering into warmer weather now?) Pleased you found the information helpful and thank you so much for stopping by!
Oh wow Mr P B Marx is so lush and cool! I love that you say he's a resilient plant as well! I was at Eden Gardens yesterday and was sooo close to purchasing a mist! I might go on the hunt to find the right one :) thank you for the wonderful care tips as always!
The music in the background plus the water noises had me subconsciously relaxing more and more throughout the video 😂 I just got a Burle Marx cutting from eBay to try something new and I started to get the feeling I would like it more than I initially anticipated. It's so beautiful! Thank you for sharing yours and your information! :)
Aw thank you so much for the feedback Emily! Sorry its taken my a month to reply to you comment! Appreciate the support and pleased you found the information helpful! Hopefully yours is growing amazingly!
@@jessypotplants oh it's no problem, thanks for replying! I hope yours is doing well too; mine has some roots and is popping out a new leaf so he's officially no longer a little cutting 😁 loving the content and good luck with everything!!

Hey Jessy! Great to see a Aussie plant lover on RU-vid sharing great info! I want to keep my PBM indoors. Do you think a terracotta pot will be good to use? Thanks so much!!
Hi Grace! Thanks so much for stopping by and i really appreciate the comment! Yep! Terracotta's great in my opinion! the porous clay helps with wicking away excess water!
@@jessypotplants thanks Jessy! I got my Burle Marx yesterday so I'll be potting it up in terracotta. Looking forward to more of your videos and thank you for sharing!
Nice video! I received 3 large cuttings the other day with good roots. I left them in water and yesterday potted them up. I used a light aroid mix and they are kind of "droopy". Should I give them more water or just let them adjust for a couple of days? I wanted one for a long time and I was so excited to get them and I don't want to screw it up! LOL thank you, you seem very sweet!!
@@jessypotplants Thank you! They seem fine, since they naturally "droop" I am getting to know them LOL Out of three pots I have two new leaves. So pretty! I have always had houseplants but I am venturing into the larger leaf ones now and I am addicted. I have a giant alocasia that has taken off!! And these Burle Marx are such a nice green color!
Hey love! it sounds like it doesn't it! I think the rule of thumb I use is just checking the soil to see if its dry or not (because sometimes the different potting mediums means moisture evaporates at different rates) but yes, generally in summer i'd water every 3-4 days and winter probably around 7-10 days!
Hi Jessy! Thanks for sharing such helpful tips!! I have a mini philodendron burle marx placed on my table. It came in a pot with no drainage. Is that ok? Or shd I repot it to one w drainage holes?
I have a question. I ordered this plant a month ago as a cutting. It’s been in water for about a month and it has a great root structure. It has leaves that are turning very patchy with light green and dark green. The leaf isn’t dying though. Am I doing something wrong?
Hey Colby! Sorry for the late reply as have been taking some time off. I find its to do with lighting and warmth. I find that if its too cold it starts to turn yellow or if it doesnt get enough light. Hope this helps!
@@jessypotplants , I just planted mine outside , I dont even care for the plant , I just left it outside and it started growing even if you dont water , I suggest that Colby should use a bit muddy soil for best growth bec thats what I use for my plant :)
$800 omg I sell this guy on etsy variegated for $30, didn't pay that much for the 6" mother plant about a year ago. Who was selling for $800, I feel bad for whoever bought it!
