Can confirm. Wedding ring is like catnip to women. Shows you're already vetted by another woman as worthy, and women - being inherently jealous beings - will want that for themselves. The number of women who wanted me when I had my ring on more than doubled when i was in USAF Tech School, and that environment pretty much breeds ill conceived relationships. Got divorced not long after I got to my first base, and I was PIIIIISED because I was a good loyal husband the whole time, and there were many opportunities for me to be bad! Dropped the ring, and my prospects practically vanished. Also: For the less shady women, the ring bestowed something akin to gay privilege. Safe male friend to hang out with and confide in, and of course fall for anyways. If for nothing else, I could hate my ex for making me miss all the real guaranteed opportunities I had with some awesome women. Not just fooling around, though that would have been fun too. Didn't have that kind of magnetism till I sewed on my 4th stripe, which of course meant I wasn't supposed to fraternize with the lower ranks, so that was a push. ...mostly ;)

Do not intentionally trap your food with inedible material or something harmful to the body, if the thief eats it and is hurt then you are liable for harming them. Setting traps with the intent to cause someone harm is not legal even if said person is a thief. Now this is situational, you can do things like put spice in your food, however if it is a large amount of spice you may be asked to eat it to prove that it was your intent to eat the food as is, so if you cannot handle spice then do not put heavy spice in food as a solution to this. The same thing applies to laxatives, if you put a dose as intended or have a prescription from a doctor, even better but do not put in several doses (unless specified in note) or so much it could be harmful to the body, someone did that for exactly this reason and was charged for premeditatedly poisoning someone.
