Im suspecting that mine has gone bad since its angled a lot more compared to the other pulleys of the drive, im thinking its also the cause of the belt having uneven wear, frayed edges but I'm not too sure. Ending up being the tensioner making the wierd angle, wasnt sure how to take it out properly so thanks for the video

How much do one of those cost. Some guy worked on my truck to put on an alternator, can find all the pieces and he never completed the job.

At 2:04 that was a pretty cool slo mo scene. Don't those tensioners usually loose there pushing force on the belt or did somebody install that part wrong trying to move the spring back??

We thought it was possible to install wrong except the pin that holds the tensioner on the bracket would have caused the belt to ride different then the factory location. Most defective tensioner either make noise or the belt slips off under load. We had neither but found out the tensioner was bad when we tried to put the slipped belt off on the side of the road. /K&K

Google the year of your Dodge and look at a belt diagram. Normally we start at the crank pulley and work the belt from left to right. Follow the diagram like a map and do one pulley at a time till you get to the alternator. The alternator is the smallest pulley and easiest to lift the belt over once the tensioner is held down with your socket wrench. /K&K

Why wont my belt go on? Its to small or do you know a better way? No A/C

The tensioner is bolted to the block so are missing finding the hole? This tensioner has a stop nub on it, then the bolt keeps it in place so it can adjust as needed? My next question is did you remove and keep the bolt you took out? If you lost that bolt I would suggest going to the junk yard and find an OEM bolt to you can have the ease of installation back. /K&K
