you've helped me so much. i'm actually a runaway - my parents abandoned me for the first 6 years of my life, and for the next 11 years my mother was physically/verbally abusive and my dad used to make very obvious sexual innuendos and at the start of this year i decided that i couldn't deal with it anymore. i couch-surfed at a friend's for two months until a program in my city started helping me and by that stage i had to move a lot - until i ended up at the shared accommodation i'm living at now. i guess none of that was relevant whatsoever but you've been the biggest pillar in my life besides my support worker and my friends and i love you so much for it.

Don’t worry friend you are valid. My father died when I was a young boy and the only male figures I had after him were my moms various boyfriends. Almost all of them were abusing me or didn’t want anything to do with me. Even though I’m a grown “man” I still feel like the same scared little ten year old boy on the inside.

Growing up without a dad has been hard. My mother is always at work. I never had a dad to make jokes or teach me anything I'd need to know for the future. He left my family when I was 7 or 8. It's comforting to know that I can just watch your videos and learn what I need and hear some nice jokes. Thank you very much.

This really puts things in perspective for me I recently changed my toilet seat with my dads help via phone. You can so easily take those phone calls for granted. Lost my Dad in 2012 when I was 17, I was very lucky to have those 17 years with him and learnt a lot from him in that time, we never got round to the toilet seat, but now your filling in the gaps! Thank you :) edit: toilet seat changed!

My dad’s been in prison my whole life and despite him being personally in my life, he hasn’t been with me on the more physical note, While I have a stepdad he doesn’t really teach me this or anything at all, it’s things like this that really help in life Recently our toilet seat broke and it personally annoys me when everyone seems to turn a blind eye, since my stepdad has his own bathroom it’s “none of his business” and doesn’t even think or helping us any time soon. honestly this video just helped me in so many ways lol, thanks dad❤️

I know it’s not very manly of me but I can’t help but tear up watching these videos. My dad died when I was 2 the only father figures I had were my moms boyfriends but they were either abusive to me or just ignored and didn’t want anything to do with me.

I literally bought a new one 2 years ago - TWO years ago and have just not been able to get up the nerve to change it. Scared I'll get the old one off and not be able to get the new one on and a kinda broke one that is attached is better than a brand new one that isn't. Lol You made it look very doable! Thanks for not editing out the part where you thought it was snapped in but wasn't. Now when that happens to me I'll know to just keep trying.

Thank you so much for this. I had an abusive father who refused to teach me anything; on top of the abuse. He didn't want me becoming independent to be able to leave him. I escaped anyway and got my own place. But of course things like this I'm too embarrassed and ashamed to ask my neigubours. Your channel is going to be my equivalent of a Bible.
