In this video we look at how to change the rear air suspension compressor ( Hitachi type ) on the Range Rover L322 from 2006 - 20013. We also look at how to replace the desiccant / air dryer unit.
Fantastic video, was quoted £1000 from Land Rover dealer to fix, watched this video and ordered the part for £126 took less than an hour to remove and replace with new compressor. Forever grateful car suspension working perfectly
Loved the detail and basic mechanic style "this is how I would do it in my own garage..." kind of video. One thing I believe they didn't mention is that if prior to beginning, or even starting the engine, you can push the start/ignition button (WITHOUT FOOT ON THE BRAKE) and lower the suspension, THEN push the lower button again to LOCK the suspension. This should keep the vehicle from "dropping" as they put it.
Just bought a new replacement compressor for my l332 but came without that goldish above the pipe that goes to the frame cilinders. Would you know how to swap it?
Hi, this is a really great video. But I think there is a bit of a safety issue in as much as you are only supposed to use a non mineral oil on air pressure systems. Using something like WD or mineral oil can lead to a diesel like explosion in the pump or worse the air tank. It's something to really be aware of. However, please keep the videos coming on the L322 as they are really helpful. 👍
I am looking for the exact locations for the valve blocks? For Front Suspension and Rear Suspension? 2006 HSE 4.4L US vehicle. I cant seem to find out where, loads of info on LR3/D3/RRS but not L322. Thank you so much!
hi i am a big fan but i have a problem. i have a 2008 rr supercharged and it says suspension fault and it is raised up on off road mode or something what can be the problem will disconnecting and reconnecting it work? also its bin parked overnight and just checked this morning and its still on high off road mode and there are no lights illuminated on the ride height selector. maybe a sensor? please need help thank you.
Hi - read this thread on the forum - i think it could be your exhaust silencer blocked www.rangerovers.net/forum/6-range-rover-mark-iii-l322/59682-range-rover-stuck-super-extended-mode.html
What happen if I disconnect both blue lines and also the black line? I have to replace the whole unit. The whole black box. Also I heard that if I change the whole piece (whole black box componnents) I have toe reinstall the software. Is that true? Let me know Thanks
Great video guys, this clears up a lot of “well only a professional RR mechanic can do this job, and that will be $2000 dollars please”! I just got my first RR (2010 RR SC) a year ago, 8 months ago the dynamic suspension went out and it looked like a low rider, wells sitting inside the wheel wells, and they put in new shocks I think it was and said the air compressor was ok for a limited time, now I’m once again sitting flat and I’m assuming this is the issue🤞🏻, I hope because that first fix cost me in the area of $3000 and I’m not to excited to drop I’m another $1500 for this fix along with a long tow 50 miles away to the nearest shop! So please, if you guys have any input on any other reasons beside this or thing I should check, I would love to know! Thanks again for a great, detailed video.
Can you help me please? I have a range rover l322 2004 And I cant rise it up or lover it down, it only says " air suspension Inactive " is it problem with compressor?
I have a 2008 range rover sport hse I do not have that where my spare tire is. My spare wheel is under the truck and so is my compressor I can see it but have not idea how to remove it.
I have a 2006 RR (not supercharged)...after a few hours, the vehicle is nearly resting on all the wheels. What is the most common issue I should be checking? I just had the sensor changed out a week ago but didnt change this issue. Thanks
I think it may be an air leak.... I was thinking it could be air tank but i dont think this results in the suspension going down as there is a valve. Also if the front and rear are going down it also seems odd.... more like a valve and a leak issue ! ?
Where is the valve that I need to check? Near the compressor? It will raise when starting the vehicle, but when the vehicle is at rests for a period of time it bottoms out again (front and back of vehicle lays all the way down). Months ago, it was just the rear that was down but now its front and back. Thanks so much.

next time it would be wise not to start on the park but to to show how you access the point. Took watching the whole video just to know where the hell the units at
