Great. That's easy and understandable way to explain. Thx. Just two tips for those who never done it before. Drain brake liquid a bit (it's on the left hand side under the bonnet behind engine) and clean/polish the desk as much as u can (place where new disc is sitting in). Thx for this clip mate

Great Video, but what torque setting did you use on the calipers?

copper grease is not needed. that aint car from 1970
@ssss-df5qz
@ssss-df5qz 3 года назад
@@onehans66 you still need grease though - we just use synthetic grease for the pad mounts. I assume you meant "copper slip is not needed on the back of the pad" - yes, while that might be true, you still need to properly lubricate the pad mounts and sliders (sliders with silicone grease). I do hope you haven't fitted brakes for anyone....

@@ssss-df5qz all good on my car. Had a chat with MOT center guy. It's fine

Grease / replacement of the sliders would be nice. The newest are 10 years old now. Torque specs are really required on something so crucial.

should have used copper grease on the back and the edge of the pads and didn't check brake level before pushing piston back in ' Tut, Tut.

Hi! Before replacing, it is recommended to lubricate the guides and clean the elements of the brake system from dirt, rust and dust.
