I have an 89 econoline and I’m trying to replace this too but I don’t have the old keys.. is it possible to get out my just pushing the pin or do you need to turn the key as well?
The new cylinder won't go all the way in. It's the correct part per VIN. How do I get it to go all the way in. In your video, the new one went right in. I have the key in the correct position. Old one goes back in fine.
So just saying it would have been nice to see the new ignition actually work that way for us first-timers out here we know that that was all there was to it and you just got to turn it over and start the vehicle after that very poor video
