Started doing mine which I thought would be a simple job. Was like uhh, why won't it come out? Checked your video and it was that damn white tab so thanks. Should also mention that it needs to come down as it allows the adjuster screw housing to pass through. I was pulling it thinking it was a release which would make more sense. They literally did NOT have to include that piece at all when it has 3 bolts. On the 2021 there's also a metal nipple holding it in so it will be a little harder to pull out. I went ahead and replaced all 4 while I was in there with 6k's so I'll be that asshole on the road (sorry in advance for other Texans).
Thank you for the video. It helped me out 100%! It's crazy they designed the truck to need the whole front off to change a freaking lightbulb....utterly ridiculous.
Great video, thanks. PS What a terrible job of engineering this by FCA. So much space in the engine bay but for some reason they need to make it as hard as possible to change a headlight bulb.
My buddy just had one burn out, cost him $120CAD to swap it. He supplied the bulb. Im cheap so here I am on youtube to do it myself. Swap both to LEDs and call it a day. Ill do the grill method instead of fighting with a socket extension. Thanks.
@@roba4139 Wow $120 with parts supplied that’s crazy, that’s why I try to do everything myself. Most things now days require patience to work on “which I don’t have” lol, but I’ve been getting better with it.
@@AbdullahZahidjust a little input, it’s $120 CAD which converts to roughly $90 USD. Still way too much for a lightbulb replacement if you supply the parts though
Thanks for sharing this video. Without this video, I would have never thought that I would have to reach up into a little trap door in the wheel well to get the headlight assembly out. Much appreciated! 🙏
@@AbdullahZahid I also have a 2022 1500 classic and when I replaced the headlights there was no white clip. Only a hole with a rod like the ones that hold your engine cover on. I guess I got lucky.
Thank you so much ! Easy to follow. I should have had it done in 10-15 minutes but it took so much longer because of the bottom bolt that holds the headlight. That thing refused to come out. I got it loose enough where I could pop the headlight out and replace the bulb. Thanks again !
Awesome video. Going to upgrade my headlights with led bulbs and now that i attended your class I can proceed with confidence. Thank you sir. Very detailed explanation!!!!
Just about to change the RH side burnt light and came across this great instructional video. This is perfect example of the very detailed step by step DIY. Also, your recommendation to use H11 LED - one stop shop! Thanks a lot, man! Subsribed for all the furure references 😎
Nice job. I got the h11 low beams and the 9005 for high beam for my 23’ classic. For fog lights it’s also the h11. What a difference compared to the stock lights.
I found led replacement fog lights, take the 3 bolts out and unplug the wiring harness and bolt in the new one. And they are smoked lenses as well, matching the headlights perfectly
Awesome video, exactly the info I was looking for! I just bought the same truck and also noticed that the stock bulbs are trash. Lastly, I need to chirp you a bit for getting the V6 :p
Best video yet on the process, thanks! Man did Ram ever cheap out on the bulbs on these classics. I have a 2020 Classic and now have to change my 4th headlight bulb! My 2015 Grand Caravan still has all the original bulbs, so not sure why I'm having so much trouble with my Rams bulbs.
Very good job explaining i will be replacing one that went out tonight tomorrow morning. Question can i use led bulbs from like auto zone just to swap with factory yellow bulbs?
Awesome video. It really helped install my LED kit. I'm stuck on removing the parker light (located just below the fog lamp within the fog light housing). Any tips on how to get this bad boy out?
Great video man. Helped a lot. I'm looking into purchasing some new headlights but I don't know how the after market works. What are some reliable websites for headlights, grilles, bumpers etc?
I like how you where straight to the point and didn't show your face to get views! I can't stand youtubers who just drag on and instead of showing how its they are just telling you showing their face man just get to the point! "RU-vidrs take notes"
irrelevant question. your running boards on your truck were they factory and came with the truck or did you purchase them aftermarket and put them on? if so would you mind sharing link on where you got them if you did get them aftermarket. thanks in advance
@@AbdullahZahid just curious do you happen to know the name of the runnings boards that they are? Like a name? Reason is I’m trying to get new running boards put on my truck I’m tired of the chrome look lol
If you can’t do it then don’t do it. This video is not to force anyone to change the bulb. It’s for those who just want to change the bulb on their truck themselves. Shop will probably only charge about $200, better than getting stuck once you have everything apart.
I replaced my H11 now the light beam isn’t properly beaming straight but the lo beam is good…is it because the lo beam has that mini projector reflector?
For sure there ain’t nothing classic about a pos. It does help when your trying to tell the new body style and the old “classic” body style apart thought.
Listen , doing this headlight bulb change is so damn simple, it feels like it would be hard but it really isn't, same with the transmission fluid change I was tempted to take it to dealer , but decided I would save myself 2500 $ and do it myself, it was so simple.....stop giving money to dealers for such simple jobs unless your a old man or woman , then take it in , or have your darn children do it , hahahahhahaa
I agree, but somethings I still get done from a mechanic. For instance I used to do all the fluids in my vehicles myself. Now if I need an oil change I gotta buy the oil for 30-50 bucks and then deal with the old oil and the mess and time. I’d rather pay them the 70 bucks and have it done. Same with diff fluid and trans fluid if I get charged 30-40 bucks more do get it done I’ll do it just to save my self the hours and mess. I only say that now because realistically it’s hard to find time.
