⚠ Attention! This video contains a mistake: 3:45 - the tightening torque is 90 Nm + 90° Nm, not 90 Nm. We're sorry for the inconvenience.

We cannot recommend another tool with which this replacement can be made, otherwise we recommend contacting car service.

That bolt unfortunately gets welded there in time. Its a common thing to al VAG cars. The only way is to cut it with a grinder.

Thank you for feedback. You are absolutely right, the control lining of the suspension mounts is carried out then when the machine is on wheels under its own weight.Best regards, Autodoc!

Where this control arm meets the steering knuckle assembly (opposite side to the eccentric cam bolt) there is a bushing right? I believe there is and I want to know if this is subject to high stresses and wear. Can it easily be pressed out and changed? If so do you have a part number reference
@richcheema
@richcheema 2 года назад
For anyone that reads this the outer bush part number is 1K0505553A, 38mm bush with 12mm inner diameter. There are a number of brands I found but I would go for Meyle 100 505 0011 or Febi Bilstein 29938

I used a blowtorch to burn all my bushes out then tapped the inner shells out very easily. Full poly bushes now! Get poly bushes and you’ll have a much better ride, never have to change them again (unlike rubber).

Can you explain how bolt works by marking it
@autodocuk
@autodocuk 5 лет назад
Thank you for your feedback! This marking is needed in order to get the same alignment rate with a new track control arm as before and also to get to the wheel alignment stands safely with no adventures. Best regards, Autodoc!

If your car is old enough to need a new arms you can guarantee the camber adjustment bolt will be seized to the inner metal tube of the bush. Welcome to hell.

@@jarkkonieminenprotuning I've recently changed all the control arms on my mk6 golf but it was only when I replaced them I noticed the outer bushings. Were the ones you changed out badly worn? Do you also happen to have the part number for the ones you ordered. Thanks.
