Thanks for posting this fine how-to video. I took my '96 Chris Craft Crowne 34 with (supposedly) year-old twin Crusader 350XLs out today for the season opener, and I wasn't getting water out of my starboard exhaust. Port was fine, starboard was dry. I started and stopped the engine a number of times, didn't know if the pump lost its prime from being hauled for the winter or what. Eventually it started pumping water, and the engines ran fine and both at the correct temps, but I think I'll change the impellers since who knows what damage was done running dry for those few minutes. Your vid gave me a clear idea what the job entails and I appreciate that.
@@13572danube Thanks for the reply. I hear you say the engines are at 180 & that it's something you should do every few years - but I didn't hear you say if it actually changed your engine temps. I ask because my boat is currently running in the 180 range, but feel it should be about 10 degrees cooler and am working through trouble shooting.
@@JayneCobbsBunk I used screw driver, but the shaft key is half moon shaped and kept falling out had to keep removing impeller to reset key tok st least 10 trys.
