Great Video ! I am a new owner of a 1981 Carver 3007 . I am being advised by brother in law who has had Yacht and Express cruisers long time. Told me since boat sit for 2 years to change the Impellers on water pumps. I have twin 270 crusader engines. so going to do both and also change the Fuel filter if can find that next.
I busted the carbon bushing when trying to install it - had to go old school I put the carbon bushing into the freezer overnight and heated the cover housing with a torch for 90 seconds it went in like butter
Great video. Would love to see how you do the major overhaul on these pumps including replacing the seal and pressing the bearing on and off the shaft.
My inlet and output are reversed. Should i correct this. Its been that way for years and has always run on the hot side. Maybe reverse in and out will help w that overheating problem?
