Thanks for posting this. Many may critizise you or laugh about but you were bold. You learned as well as taught others who are in similar situation. Thanks again
Hey, at least this is out there for those that need to learn .. how not to do it. Don't think your alone in having made mistakes along the way, lol. Like other comments, freeze shaft, heat up pump, careful press or heavy mallet on stable platform. Best of luck with ya and thx for your time to share. Oh, and/or, do like i did and find a friendly local transmission shop and have them press it in and out for ya. I don't have room for a press anymore and what I've resorted too for carrier bearings and such.
Thanks for posting this video! I was just about to do the same exact thing you just did and break a perfectly good pump, so Iv had my stator shaft in the freezer for about 5 hours now, about to heat up pump and see what happens…weather I fail or succeed I’ll post a video of how I’m doing it!
Priceless video! great work though! In the future, put the shaft in the freezer, less interference that way, and you could even put the pump body in the oven at 100F
You think wood supporting the pump and stator would’ve helped pressing it in? Maybe even some bolts lining up the tube first? Never done it myself but thinking about doing this.
banging the shaft out with a maul and a piece of wood works,, I tried pressing it out and it didnt like it,, banging it in was easy too, use some lube next time, wont hurt anything,
