Excellent information, I worked for a rebuilder 6 years ago for 6 months had an accident and was paralyzed, decided to get back into rebuilding due to several friends needing transmission rebuilds and have been refreshing my thoughts and learning more from people just like you, thank you for your help
M-30s keep me with a bit of technology in my life as I enter 60 years of age...And a 1995 k 1500 in my garage that was once in critical condition keeps everyone else out of my Garage as am in hurry to complete bringing it out of critical condition....I thought of that today since it's been in my garage a few years....I said to myself ....well at least it keeps everyone else out of my Garage
Thank you and this is why I came to RU-vid. Thank you sir. I have a 2005 Chevy trailblazer 4x4 lost all gears drop tranny changed torque converter put it back up go to change the filter and a vein from the pump was in it. So now dropping it again to change pump. I need to know if 2005 trailblazer needs pump with sensor or not now thanks to you. I can figure which one I need now so Thank you my friend. My wife's truck and 5 kids have to get it back on road . Appreciate you
Ive got a 98 Silverado pump I'm trying to put in my 2000 should be the same, using same TC it wouldn't seat, so I tried the 98 TC still no seat and it's wobbly (298mm vs 300mm)
So I think it's the sleeve right? So I swap the sleeves and it still doesn't seat in TC. can you crush a TC? I had to rebuild the pump due to me crushing it while trying to install it unseated.
@@wadedavis9344 Ok, If you need the ISS there is something else to watch for. In the newer style pump I had the hole for the ISS was blocked off and this is because GM was transitioning parts getting ready for the ISS but didn't actually use it in this pump so that's why the hole was plugged. The shaft I had in the video for the newer pump was spaced out for the ISS pump but they did not add the reluctor grooves to the shaft so if you added a sensor to the pump there wouldn't be anything to trigger the sensor. This link has some good information and pics of the reluctor section. www.transtar1.com/TranstarIndustries/media/Transtar1/technical/bulletins/TLT-P774-001.pdf The speed sensor was added so GM could constantly slip the converter clutch to mask the transition from 4 to 8 cylinders that Displacement On Demand causes. If you have disabled DOD like a lot of people do then you technically don't need the ISS and could program it out with HPTuners.
Shouldn't alter...year make and models therefore if you do make sure details are the same... Don't be surprised if remove go thru a transmission several times. Don't just jump on a Facebook and ask 100 questions upon your failure
you know there is a 3mm height difference in pump bodies also, that about an ants lenght for you drunken lobster measurement users. Should be pure logic there's also shorter and longer shaft
@skutahuniai if you knew anything about 4L60e transmissions you would know that in order to make them last you need to use later redesigned parts that are more durable. Just have to triple check the specs to ensure proper operation.
