4L60E TIP 3 (INPUT SHAFT DIFFERENCES) (VERY IMPORTANT!!!!!!) 

So much great info. Thanks so much. You helped me figure out that I have a 1999 4l60e trans on a 4.8L Vortex with a 300mm shaft but someone installed a 298mm pump on it. I been driving for the last 5 years on this setup but it through me for a loop as I am rebuilding it now because it should have a 300mm pump with a 300mm converter.

Install new design ‘06 in an older stator and Overruns will apply and then spag breaks from contamination I know.

Good Job describing and proving the different locations of seal locations.

Thank you in the process of rebuilding a 4L60e from a 2008 Colorado FOR a 1999 Silverado 5.3. Different bell housing torque converter and input shafts never would have thought to check stators. The out going one grenades not rebuildable. Can I move stators and use the one with the newer pump but swap stators?

Can I use the new style pump with the old style stater and shaft and what's the difference in the pumps

There has got to be an easier way to identify which stator matches which shaft.

Look at the notches on top of shaft one is smooth one isn’t

What a bought 298 mm you didn’t talk much about that
