This is a very important video to watch on making sure you have the right input shaft to stator match on the 4l60e transmission when replacing the pump and input shaft!!!!!
So much great info. Thanks so much. You helped me figure out that I have a 1999 4l60e trans on a 4.8L Vortex with a 300mm shaft but someone installed a 298mm pump on it. I been driving for the last 5 years on this setup but it through me for a loop as I am rebuilding it now because it should have a 300mm pump with a 300mm converter.
Thank you in the process of rebuilding a 4L60e from a 2008 Colorado FOR a 1999 Silverado 5.3. Different bell housing torque converter and input shafts never would have thought to check stators. The out going one grenades not rebuildable. Can I move stators and use the one with the newer pump but swap stators?
@@thisisyourtransmission Thanks I figured it out. The stator must match the input shaft so that the seals line up. When you go from one input shaft to another as I did either the pump housing with stator (MUCH EASIER) or stator must follow input shaft
