In this one I do an oil change on my 2022 Honda CB500X if you have any questions leave them in the comments below thank you for watching Oil Filter: amzn.to/3Zx3ps5 Oil Filter Tool: amzn.to/40TLugj
Dear, I would greatly appreciate it if you could explain to me the reduced power of the HondaCB500X. It should have 35kw, but mine has 25kw. This is what is written in the traffic license. The motorcycle was bought used in Switzerland. What is the mechanical procedure of restoring 35KW??? Thank you.
You didn’t need to pull the rear center stand stay and lower the Rally Raid plate to drain the oil? I’m getting ready to do my first oil change and figured I’d have to remove the rear stay to get to everything. Did it coat the bash plate with oil when it drained?
No I did not let the skid plate down at all I did get some oil on the skid plate and just gave it a quick spray with the brake clean and airline to clean it off after
The service manual says the first oil change is 1000 km after that it is every 10,000 km but I prefer to do it about every five or 6000 km the service manual also says the air filter is good until 19,000 km but I would definitely replace it at 10,000
Call me crazy, but I think you would want to show folks which nut is the "drain plug". There are folks who are not mechanically inclined and maybe doing this for the first time.
You think that's crazy? They use cubic inches to measure engine displacement haha 😂 And btw both Americans and British are guilty of using antiquated imperial units
I cannot believe that you used your ratchet to start the treads on the drain plug. The oil filter should have been torqued at 19 ft lbs not a quarter of a turn. Read the manual before you make your next video.
I’ve been a mechanic for 10 years now and I am very good at what I do and have a lot of experience. You read the manual they are for people that have no clue👍
DO NOT torque the oil filter on it will seize and even the proper tool will crush the filter making it a big problem to remove follow the proper procedure hand tight and 1/8 of a turn with an oil filter tool just like every other mechanic is done with a spin on filter on every other vehicle
@@swingingforgold5743 Hi from Australia I've been doing oil changes on trucks tractors cars motor bikes for years and never tighten oil filter more than hand tight never had any leaks or have came loose everyone to there own ways of doing things.
@@davidread319 thanks for your comment and you are right I have had a problem with oil filters being over tightened even though the customer swears they torqued it properly the oil filter gets crushed and can become quite a problem to get off I’m sure you know
