Simple HD video to show how to change the speed sender unit on a 1993 Honda Accord. The original problem was that the Speedo stopped working properly...then all together just stopped completely.
Thank you for posting this video, I have a 1994 Accord LX with the same problem. After watching your video I was able to go to my local yard and got the 2ea of the sensors for like $20.00. After I finished the problem was resolved.
Thank you! I watched the video and had the same issues and lights, so I picked up the part at Advance auto and changed the Speed sensor in less than an hour in the dark with a outdoor work light. part cost me a little less than $60. Thanks again for the video.
Great video! Thanks!!! I have a '93 Accord with the same problem. Now that I know where the sensor is located I'm going to snatch it out and find a replacement. I really appreciate the video!!!!
I have the air cleaner off, I'm struggling to get that one bolt on the right off! I need another extension:( Once I get another extension and complete the job I will update. Great video thanks
Thank you for the nice video. I have question. I have done a light tune-up on my 92 Accord and intermittently it exhibits what seems to be a transmission problem. Most videos I have seen on the speed sensor talk about the speedometer not working. My speedometer seems to be working fine so does this mean its not the speed sensor?
Good video. What about a 1996 Honda Accord 2.2 VTIS? I got a similar problem where the speed meter isn't working as well as the D4 light keeps flashing when driving. Do you think the problem the same with yours and the location of the sensor the same? Would you please teach me how?
Them connectors are very hard to unplug some but ... i appreciate your view of the video it makes since beside ... i feel thats the best way to make video fast ... something i would do ... thank's period my car fixed it was a relay problem im riding again :)
I have 96 one... I have the same issue... Also I have switch to manual from auto. While shifting from 1 gear to 2nd gear it shakes and make a noise. Why is that? Can you help me
I changed new but still same problem the needle shaking between 30 to 35 when engine switche off then goes to zero if on even no start it then again stays 30 without shaking
Yeah, 1994 tougher to get to. Need a couple 1/4" long extensions, 1/4 breaker bar (car makers never put antiseize on fasteners), and 1/4" universal joint. Probably need new hose clamp for throttle body (car makers never use corrosion resistant hose clamps and heads always strip out). But good video. got my replacement off amazon.
