I wanted to know this too as I don't have a rivet tool. Did you use nuts and bolts yourself? Maybe very short 12mm bolt and 10mm nuts?

because it hard to put it back that two rivets, I think fought out it's only two youtuber know how to do ,you are the third now, Don't need to remove those rivets before remove the carrier panel, it will hard to put it back, I remove the carrier panel with the door lock all at once, first on rear door if fitted 1/4 window or wagon, you need to remove the short window's rail that fit front of the door lock, then remove the lock bolts and then you can remove the all out a little to easy remove the cable that from the outer handle to the door lock ,then can out at once.some models need to remove outer door handle at once. after out ,then can remove and install the rivets easy., front door is easy because no window's rail there, Sorry you can't just show how to remove, that because install is different way to do,Hope this help!
