Today I am showing how to change your brake cable on your Ninebot Max.
After a couple of months of owning my Max I went to adjust the brakes not knowing how to and managed to shear off around a cm at the end and ever since then it has been a little difficult every time to get on the retaining nut. Oh yeah, I did say bolt instead of, nut. Apologies.

I tried to dissasemble but my bottom screw on brake cable is so stuck and i tried to do the same as you showed but the bolt keeps spinning with bottom screw regardless if I counter-wise upper screw, I dont know how to remove other wise, the cap is just stuck hard and whatever i try to unscrew counter any other screw the bottom just follows the bolt and i cant remove it. I dont have metal saw or metal cutting tool so i cant even cut the bottom of bolt with the screw cap so Im stuck, can you help please ? I just bought fork suspension and cant install before i remove this damn brake

In case it helps, there should be a slightly flattened portion of the long threaded metal piece that the nuts and everything else are screwed onto. It's underneath the rumpled rubber sheathe that covers the spring so you will have to expose it by pulling both the rubber and spring upwards, grab onto the non-threaded portion using another tool like pliers, and then using your other hand try unscrewing the piece you are having difficulty with.

Trying to install monorim suspension and can’t get the brake cable off - there is nut right at the bottom of the cable and trying to get it off the cable just twists with it, despite holding nuts above. I’m tearing my hair out!

The nut is 8mm and the adjuster is 14mm, you need to crack off the small nut first. It will need a little force on the first try as it has a locking feature (plastic insert).

Use vice grips but be careful, you might snap off some of the threads on the brake cable!

I found better solution. You stick new cabel to old one with ducktape and then pull out everything without unscrewing any of steam screws its much faster

I can’t remove the second nut is too tight and the cable keeps spinning around everytime I try to remove it.

Are you using both spanners at the same time?

Next time tape the end of the new cable to the end of the old one before you pull out the cable, it will pull the new cable through.

Hey mate, when I try to adjust my brakes it keeps springing back. I'll tighten it to a certain degree but it's like its "fighting" me to spring back. Also the retaining nut (4mm one) doesnt seem to move at all.....got any idea wtf is going on??

Have you put a 14mm spanner over the adjuster nut and then got the 8mm spanner to crack off the locking nut? Also to tighter in up, you hold the spring lever back and then turn the adjuster nut clockwise to make it more sensitive. You then put the 8mm locking nut up against it so it doesn't come lose.

I had the exact same issue, hope you've found out how to do fix it, but the black this the brake cable goes into sits on the wheel a very specific way, there is a square thing at the base of the stud it goes over that has to be fit on properly otherwise the brake lever will just spring back.. hopefully this helps you

I just re-read that and God that was awful grammar.. my bad lol Anyways, the bracket that the brake cable slides into has a square thing it fits over on the stud it goes onto lol

Mine looks different than this too, the bolt (or what looks like a bolt) that the 8mm is on is almost an inch. Loosening the 8mm away from the 14mm is possible but then it just springs back, can't get it all the way off to install suspension.

Just tape the new cable to the old cable when you pull the old one out, won't even have to take the handlebars off smh

segway.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360036042914-Kickscooter-G30P-MAX-Error-Codes Communication error between dashboard and controller. Undo connector in the stem and then wire them back up to see if that works.

You may need to get into the bottom and make sure connections are good there.
