I just got my first 510 thread battery. Went with the cheapest option KPens offers as a test ahead of buying a potential long term solution. I have mine charging on a USB hub attached to a USB3.1 port on my tower. Glad to know I made the right decision out of the gate.
Came looking for answers after trying to charge 4 pen batteries over the past day or two, all of them still dead, no sign of life while charging. I was using two different little Apple block adapters and had no idea that could be the problem. Thank you for saving my sanity 😊
@Serenity, very glad to help, I found that out the hard way also ,then when you troll arround the vape forums, you see it is a common issuie. Thank you for watching.
I have a threaded charger and when I plug in my pen into my pc or block, it blinks red a couple times and then there’s no light but the threaded part has a green light. Is my pen still being charged when there’s no light??
@quentin, the green light on the threaded charger means the charger is getting current, the pen doing the blinking sequence you mentioned means either the electronic chip / controller is damaged, or its not taking a charge,. I would try a charging block because sometimes PC's dont fully charge the battery, but the only way to test it is to run the battery down then leave it on for 2 hours to see if its got power again.
I just bought a honey stick twist vv Upon plugging in to charger no light is on the battery but there is a rwd light on the plug in charging unit it blinks red and them goes solid green. Does this mean its charged or should the light on the battery itself be on
What does it mean when the light on the vape battery is green but the led on the usb charging adapter is red? Should I wait until the usb adapter led goes green before unplugging? And also could you explain how the light colors correspond to the charge level? I can't seem to find any documentation about it. Should I charge the vape when the light turns yellow? Or use the vape all the way until it doesnt work anymore? Thanks!
@1234567895182, if it is one of our stick batteries, the indicator on the Charger is irrelevant and when the battery is Solid Green it is good to go. this is different for other manufacturers however usually if it is charger dependent the battery will be a neutral color like white. When it is Green it is full charge to about 60%, once it hits yellow it's good to get it on a charger because when it hits red, it will cutoff anytime. yellow is about 30%-59% and red is under 30% Charge.... but depending on the power level you use and duration of the hits, the time it takes to run down varies among users. Hope it helps!
@@danhoff6890 Awesome thanks for that informational reply. Yes it is one of the stick batteries. I have always been waiting for the indicator on the charger to turn green, so just wanted to make sure. I guess I have been doing it wrong 😂 Thanks again!
Here's a question that I didn't catch get answered. I have a cresco pen/battery and I tried putting it on a ooze charger (same big black box/charger you have) and I can't tell if it is charging or not. The green light is on for the ooze plug but I have nothing from my pen/battery :/
@luskshot4386, not all batteries will glow when being charged. Leave it on for 1.5 - 2 hours and see if it accepts the charge, thank you for watching and hope it helps.
@@danhoff6890 it did end up slowly blinking red for a while and then went to yellow but I had it on the charger for almost 5 hours roughly and it stayed on the slow blinking yellow. But when I plug it in it doesn't light up for like a half hour or so showing whichever color
@@Luckshot4386 sounds like the charger is not menat for the battery or the Lithium ion cells in the battery are very slow to accept the charge. see if you can try another charger or it might be time to replace the battery.
I have tried everything your video said and it’s still not working! I have no idea! I have 2 different usb charging devices and neither is charging my device. Frustrated. Any suggestions?
I purchased today the HONEYSTICK 510 VV Twist Battery 500 MAH - Variable Voltage. First time Vaping. Tried it when I got home. Didn't really get much of a reaction. Tried a few more times in a 4hr period. Then I decided to charge the stick. Right away the light showed red and then within minutes (or seconds) it turned green. I guess I'm confused. If the light shows green so quickly, does this mean that the stick was pre-charged for sale by the manufacturer or am I just being advised via the green light that it is charging. I left the stick plugged in for a few hours and the stick still always showed green. Once the green light comes on and the stick is charging, how do I know when it is fully charged if the green light is always on?
@Marigold St George, Thank you for checking in and the question. sometimes the batteries do come with a big charge on them and then it will charge up very quickly. for that battery if it blinks green it is charging, when it goes to a solid green it is charged. If the battery isnt taking a full charge then contact customer service on getting it swapped out.
My Phantom Squeezebox has been sitting in the box for close to a year. I just connected it. It charges & the red light is on as it charges, but after two hours, the light turns off automatically. But when I try to toke from it, nothing pulls (no vapor). I'm using a standard usb power adapter & the cable that was provided. When I put the chamber into the mod, I can feel the magnetic pull & it clicks. I have two of the exact models & neither of them are working. Thoughts?
@danhoff6890 I figured out the problem. For some reason, one of my cartridges was faulty. I never used it before, but as I wrote earlier, I had two of these units. I tried swapping out the cartridge with the other cartridge & it worked. So....my question is : Can the faulty cartridge be cleaned, or is it a complete write-off?
@@johnterrance3075 sometimes you can clean up the bottom connection and it will work, or you can salvage the oil if that doesn't... if you have a few carts that are faulty you can check out one of our cart dub kits but if only one cart, not much to do just put it in the graveyard. Some videos I have seen on RU-vid here with some fix it tricks, but they dont always work.
@danhoff6890 I would like to take this opportunity to Thank You Dan, for your prompt personal responses. I worked 20 + years in various Call Centres throughout Ontario, Canada, so Customer Service is drilled into my very core. LOL. You've provided me with exceptional Customer Service. Great job! 👍
What if I accidentally used an apple charger but after like 30 seconds I took it out after hearing I can’t charge with the apple charger is my battery broken or
Light doesn't come on for both batteries (same brand) with the USB charger it came with. Light on the charger turns on but batteries are still dead after hours
@girlovecupcake, so you have no signs of life when you click the button 5 times to unlock it? and as per the video you have it in a good / proprer charging source? if you tried these and nothing, contact the manufacturer.
The lithium cells are probably bad and it is showing it is charging but not accepting the charge. Call the manufacturer and submit a warranty claim if applicable.
@xxCaliexxx3646, sometimes a blinking light going solid means the battery is charged, if thats not the case then trya different charging cable, outlet, and wall adapter. if it still wont take a charge then the vape is defective and you should contact the manufacturer.
I bought a 510 thread vape pen from a local vape shop and I don't know what kind it is...it came with a USB male charger and it's red but the pen is green....does that mean it's charged?
So it can be one of 2 things. It can mean that as that is the programming on our stick batteries.... however some manufacturers just use a green LED to indicate it is on and will defer to the USB charger to indicate charging level. Go ahead and use your vape pen, sun it down, then when you plug it in if the LED on pen is red or another color you will know for certain thats the case for future charging.
@@danhoff6890 hey Dan hope all is well i was wondering can you do a review on the new honey stick quatro awesome and love the unique patterns i still have my baby blue original elf still runs great, also my honey stick original.
@@danhoff6890 My twist also blinks red on the charging adapter and also is solid blue on the battery itself. Is this also normal? What does the blue mean?
@@randseedbin9440 So Blinking on charging is normal and it should go solid or turn off upon completion. Depending on what brand the battery is it can mean its level of charge, or just be its color of operation . if the Vape is working properly after charge and will last a couple days on a charge it is most likley fine.
adagator33, only heard of a few cases of this in the dozen years I have been in the industry since most units have overcharge protection, it can be a power surge in the outlet or the internal sodering wore down over time and lines got crossed withing the battery. this is usually a 1 in a million thing but you should get a replacement from the store you purchased from or the manufacturer.
That was worthless. I want to know what 3 red flashes, last blink longer Pause 3 more red blinks Dead Not charging ... means? The website guide doesn't mention any guide to what the flashes mean!
@fm2dmax, hi sorry the video didnt help you. can you please let me know, Please let me know first off what model Cart battry you are having issues with, second when does the blinking you describe occur? when you plug it in to charge>?
