With the battery error code that is mentioned (for example), will the error code go away once root cause has been adressed or do you need to erase the code anyways after taking action?
@simplenick - how to turn on this sound when you turn your key while icons flashes? Is it normal? I would like to have this while turning on my car (vw polo 9n)
It’ll come back unfortunately but luckily for diesel cars engine lights are nothing much to worry about, had my engine light on over 5 years and eventually just pulled the dame bulb out, problem solved 👍🏾
Hi mate I recently reset the service icon on the dash on mypolo 2003 and when I done it the engine light disappeared and hasn't came back on since any ideas why and what is the fix cheers
My Bora engine light was on for two years..It started flashing and ran irregular.There was an eggy smell from exhaust.I put catalytic cleaner in fuel tank.Cleaned plugs ..Light went out and ran fine..If it flashes or I get the eggy odour and irregular running..I repeat the process.Its a twenty yr old car so I'm ok with the light..till it flashes.. Ps never failed mot emissions test
Patriot, hi, cleaner such as Redex? Put in with a full tank? Just bought a Polo ans even though it runs perfect mine has come on today. Last owner didn't drive it enough.
@@emmachampion5086 Hi. I use ‘cataclean’ You put it in when there is only 1/4 tank of fuel then go for a good spin..I think it says 15 miles at least. Worth checking plugs too. I have one plug that gets dirty. I clean it and pop back in.

Hi I have a beetle put petrol in and the warning light came on the check engine- I checked the cap but the light is still on do I have to reset something to stop the warning light from being on and how do I do that
No a battery should last quite sometime. In this case the battery was on its way out, and the car was hardly used for big chunks of time whilst my daughter was at Uni
