I get asked to check whether basketball jerseys are real or fake all the time, and fakes are EVERYWHERE so I've put together a series of videos to show you how to legit check yours. This one will show you what to look for in an Adidas jersey.

I have a Authentic Addias Derrick Rose Jersey but for the tag in front of the jersey doesn’t have the climacool next to the tag and doesn’t have plus 2 length but it does have a QR code in it

great stuff, thanks for the infos! does the thing with the QR codes apply to gen 1 swingmans as well? (i'm looking at a jersey to buy and i can't decide. seller says no qr code but other than this it looks legit)

Can the placement of the price tag on a brand new jersey determine if it’s fake or not? I’ve seen jerseys with the price tags hanging near the top and the bottom sleeve on the right side.

I have a NBA authentics jersey that has a tag next to the jock tag with a code on it. Does this mean it is game worn or team issued? The name on the back is not stitched on. I can send you pictures.

Does it matter where it states it is made? For example, if it says "made in Honduras" or Made in Nicaragua" on the inside collar

Wouldn't there be jersey's made before QR codes were created? How do I know if a jersey is original that doesn't have a QR code? Thanks 👍

Yes, first edition Adidas jerseys don't have a jock tag and with them it's mostly the eye test to be honest.

@TheThrowbackStore thank you i have nfound two jerseys. But the addidas labels on the back ofbthe meck are very faded, and the number and names onnthe front and back are worn andvthe colours uneven. So probably not worth much. One has Swingman on it. The other doesn't. Thanks for your help.

@TheThrowbackStore also, the lettering is sown in. These must be pretty old jerseys. Not sure ifbthey would be worth much in their faded condition 🤔
