You should have mentioned, that the valve of the resistor code 203 means 20000 Ω or 20KΩ

you forget a 4th measurement. The resistor can be connected to another component and can shows a lower value than 20K.

I'm learning electronics too. If i'm not wrong, we can mesure resistors on PCB (unlike Capacitors). Hi from Poland.

@Seba_World yep . Capacitors it's hard to know where it's connected. But you can check the capacitor to see if they at least show a reading since dried out caps don't show any reading.

what about if the value of the resistor is decreased its also consider as fault resistor?

The third one is the same problem I'm having with a resistor in a pristine, $10 Tivoli Model One radio I got from eBay- it's a 2700 ohm resistor that is measuring 4M out of circuit which is causing the downstream amps to misbehave. I'll find out tomorrow when my resistor sample pack comes.

On my pcb there is a smd written 470 which means 47 ohms. From multimeter its showing value of 48.5 ohm its good or faulty???

Not possible on third one unless somebody sprayed salt water orther conductive elements or fluids over it /carbon powder or wrong value resistor

That's because chips resistor are rated in rank no. Like the sample 203 that mean 20k 201 mean 200 like the capacitor

Fluke is one of the most expensive devices , accurate and durable .

I dont thinc Fluke nececarily is better but they do keep their models over many years so de industry dont have to adapt to new routines all the time. That saves them a lot of money. Fluke does take charges for that service fore having conistency in ther models. Thats what you are paying for.

Actually 473 ohms smd resistor means 47K ohms. Remember one things that damaged resistors don't show shorted value (46.4 ohms). If Meter shows between 46.8K to 47K then it's okay
