How To Check Your Cars Battery Check if It Holds A Charge Needs 12 volts #checkbattery #carbattery #carfix Please like and subscribe for more instructional videos!
Voltage wont tell you if the battery will hold a charge. A battery can have 12 volts and be bad. CCA tells you how much juice is left in that battery. Not enough amps then theres not enough power left in that battery. This can be checked with a battery analyzer and/or load tester.
Awesome! Theirs like 32 different settings on our multimeters and you did such an great job of explaining to us what to set it on. Especially since we are all seasoned multimeter professionals👍🏾lol im just playin but seriously im getting stuck on the part of the multimeter. Please clarify a lil more. Thanks for the video
@@SportsMusicCars - Dude!! You literally said in the video, most cars need at least 12 volts to start!! Yet here you wrote you never seen a car start with only 12 volts?! LOL...
@@irishkelly654 I've read the minimum is 12v required to start. I have never seen one start with only 12v. Sorry for the confusion, I'll try to be perfect moving forward, like you...
I’m not clicking on your elaboration mister. The alternator is bad but the battery retains its charge without being drained? I need to buy that battery from you. The battery is not going to lose any charge if the car is not running. If the alternator is not charging the battery, it will drain out within 30 minutes or so, even if you’re not using any accessories or lights.
@@SportsMusicCars thanks I asked cuz I went to auto zone and there was a new guy who worked for less than a month did the test and told me battery is bad. He did it with the engine off. problem is my battery is only 2 years and 5 days old.
@@jimmyhuajh that sucks. I have one from WalMart that I've exchanged 2x so haven't paid for that car's battery in over 8 years now, except for the $29 proration last year. The G37 we just bought had an 84m warranty battery in it that just died. Got a WalMart one with 3yrs coverage.
