Surprised not to see the Giraud case trimmer. Seems to be what everyone recommends

You missed the Lyman Express, a little slower but under $150.00, includes the bushings for most calibers and does a great job.

I’ve used the lee case trimmer for years and have never run in to a problem

I purchased a Lee zip trim when they first appeared. Still use it, and I only shoot rifle calibers for hunting. Great video.

In the search for more precise ammo, I just bought the L.E. Wilson timer shown in the video. Only one word to describe it... AWESOME! Repeatable accuracy is better than 1 thou. Chamfer can be set to use the same setting as the length trimmer and accuracy is the same. Money well spent.

Recomed to look at lee quick trimmer as well , you will need to buy every separate die for your caliber you yous but you run very fast fast through your cases.made my life so much easier

I use the Frankford Arsenal trimmer to trim .458 Win Mag cases. You just have to measure as you go and be careful not to over trim.

Trimming my least favorite Step of Reloading i think i am not alone with this Problem 😂 Another good motorized Trimmer is the Lyman Case Trim Express and it also works with most Calibers

Love the Lyman trimmer, fast and consistent. This trimmer also index off the shoulder.

Surprised not to see the lyman xpress trimmer. Its a really solid unit, kinda like a poor mans giraud minus the deburring/chamfering

I use the Forster with a 3 in 1 head. It's hand powered and slow but very precise and consistent. I like it. You can get a drill adapter to speed it up if you wanted too.

Cool hand held trimmer..”I agree with you.” If your compulsive with exact results it’s hard to beat wilson. I love wilson dies as well, you can feel the precision craftmanship and the result’s from the precision machining shine through at the range... Hornady case prep sation is great for bulk prep.

I have the orange handheld de-burr and chamfer tool. I just do the opposite of what you demonstrated. I put the chamfer or de-burr cutters in the drill and hold the brass in hand. I use some duct-tape to hold the drill trigger down.

I got the Frankford Arsenal one and will never look back to the other trimmers. So much quicker.

For me, nothing beats the Giraud electric trimmer. Trimmers for just about any rifle caliber, chamfers and deburs at the same time and super fast

The Lee stuff works, Im using it right now. But Ive gotten to where im doing at least 100 rounds at a time , usually 200 at a time. Im done with the 5 step brass prep with big lots of ammo, lol. Im buying a case prep tool with a cord on it sooner rather than later

Just save yourself a ton of time and get a Dillon progressive press and an RT1500. You can smash through 1000 rounds in an hour easily.

Save up and get the Dillon RT1500. The price really sucks but if you shoot a lot, it's well worth the money.

I only trim out of necessity. I use a Lee trimming die with a cutter that also chamfers and deburrs. It’s different than what you show. The cutter uses a hand crank. I spend less than five seconds trimming each case. I leave a press set up with the trimmer, from there, they are ready to load. I trim before sizing to save time. I don’t see enough variation in case length after sizing to justify disrupting my process.

Being as I acquired the stuff to do neck turning from 21st Century, over a few yrs, I splurged on their 3way trimmer as well, It works really well, and covers a lot of cartridges easily. Also using a Forster with a 3 way cutter, no issues with it, other than it doesn't cover all calibers with 3way cutters, had it for 40 yrs. I have a Hornady trim/prep center, I would not recommend it to anyone, the trim side of it doesn't work the way it shud for me, it turned out to be a bad idea. Best I can recommend is a trimmer with a 3way cutter of your choice, and a Frankford Arsenal, or Hornady, or RCBS, or Lyman prep center.

I primed about 20 cases then discovered they need to be trimmed. Is it possible to trim without taking the primers? If I resize them all, thus removing the primers could I reuse the primers?

What the - you showed the Henderson trimmer in the intro and didn't talk about it? And like others have said, no mention of the Giraud? Personally, I'd skip the Lee system. I really like my Lyman universal case trimmer. I'll probably upgrade to the Giraud eventually as brass trimming is one of the most time consuming steps.

Little crow gunwerks best especially in mass, lee case length guage cheapest and probably most consistent not too too slow

Tanks BAR, you might have a look into a Forster trimmer with a 3 in 1 head, it is in the same league as the Wilson....

I have most of these including the Henderson. All have pros and cons. As with most people when it comes to reloading, trimming brass blows. 🤦🏾‍♂

i'm considering the Henderson, what is your feedback on it? i'm only a range shooter but would like to stretch out and be accurate when doing so. Thanks.

@jeremylauer5234 it's amazing, but the question is what's you time worth to you..

@@luckyshotammunitiongunsllc2369 completely understand and i think the repeatability is the key since i reload 7-8 different calibers throughout the year.
@luckyshotammunitiongunsllc2369
@@jeremylauer5234 it's a shoe in then. I think even better than the other options like the Girard pacifically because it won't have your fingers cramping in ten min
