no, at least rent a longboard for the first 5-6 sessions, once u feel U can catch waves easily and can stand up easily but u can really fit into the wave then move down to a shorter board but not to a shortboard. go to like a large fish that is wide , thick and lots of volume.
RTV Swif7y Thanks dude, I got an instructor and was using a 7-8 foot long foamie I believe... he recommended the same kinda thing ur saying. The foamie was nice except on bigger waves I’d nosedive. That’s probably a skill thing tho. Thanks for the tips, and I’m getting there lol.
How to Rip Thanks man! I started out with a great instructor in Southern Cali on a wavestorm around 8ft long, I got up and loved it! Definitely watching some more of ur content for tips and tricks and thanks for making it! It’s really helpful to beginners like me, thanks dude and God bless!
