Have someone trace your foot and then measure from your toes to the end of your heal. Those measurements will help

Not to be underestimated how important this is, get the wrong skates as a starter and all you'll remember is how much your feet hurt or how bad the skates perform because it's not sitting well on your foot. Correct me if I'm wrong. One of the most important things to take notice off when fitting skates is to control how well your heel is strapped in, a little toe wobble can be acceptable but if your hell isn't snug and strapped in well you're just going to have a bad time.

Hi Richardo, thanks for the video. I wear size 45 for my sport shoes. And I tried 44/45 on Flying Eagle and the side of the skate press on my right foot, which isn’t comfortable when I stand up, not even skating for a long time. Size 45 feels like my running shoes. No pressure points. The shop attendant told me I can mitigate the looseness by adding an insole. May I have your opinion please? Thank you

Hi Lino! I need your advice. I just got some chaya noir II skates. Love the padding. But when i do not tye the boot tightly enough, my big toes touch the front from the inside in a way that is not ver comfortable. But i have to tye them that tightly then that the laces hurt my foot joints when just bending my joint s little bit. I also git thebfeeling that i hsve to tye them really tightly to get ebough ankle support. The rest of the boots feels very comfortable though. I dont know if i should go a size up or if the chayas are just not right for me. Before that i had rookies which inhad to sendt back as well bc they were too tight and too short.

Thanks for the video Ricardo! I have a "feet width" problem: My girlfriends feet are too thin for the boots. The length and the inner "vertical space" is ok but they move left or right in the liner wich is bad. Do you know about any solution? Is there any pad or sole that could thicken her foot ?

I’ve always wanted to skate in a long time but I’ve always been afraid to try and never had the money to actually get one. Now that I am much older I feel like I can go buy one myself since I’m always riding my longboard everywhere maybe I can roller skate everywhere now. I’m trying to figured out everything about finding and learning about the skates before I actually go buy one. Your channel help me a lot with researching about these skates.

Question on how much skates brake-in. Just got a new pair, left feels great, snug and no pressure point. Right is not as great, some pressure on the inner part of the fore foot. My feet are more on the wide side. Can i expect some brake-in so the right feels more like the left? Thanks!!!

For a good fit you need a good heel lock, whereby your heel does not slide about, you want the right width for the forefoot, and ideally a few mm of space at the toe. Foot shape varies a lot. Some feet are deep and wide at the back and front, some are shallow, wide at the front, narrow at the heel and so on. Different models of skate suit different feet. I have shallow feet with wider than average forefeet. The Rollerblade Twister is too narrow for me, the Powerslide Zoom Pro fit me like a custom skate. To determine size, measure your foot length with the back of the heel placed against a wall, then use the mondopoint value (size in mm) on the size chart. It doesn’t always work, but for my last three skates from different brands, it worked perfectly. Don’t use shoe size. My show size is UK 9. My skates are UK sizes 6.5-7, 7.5 and 8. My ice skates are 6.5 (left) and 6.75 (right).

I'm a size 13 shoe with a wide foot I wanna start skating again but roller hockey want to get a pair of bauers but don't wanna get them and they be to small... The biggest size I see is size 12 but it says US size 13.5... How true to size r skates? I havent skated in a long time and just wanted to get back in for some exercise and riding around.

Good afternoon this is Tim from Australia. I currently ride swell power slides 110s. However I want to feel more grounded and stable and would like your opinion on whether I should choose 80mm or 90mm wheels. I have general flat areas around us etc and my preference is 80mm but what do you think? Thanks Tim

Went to a shop and got fitted with a pair of k2 pro 84's 1 month in i now find out my feet are too wide after trying to break the fuckers in, and have the foot pain and circulation problems across the balls of my feet to lessen the pain my skate is so loose i can slip my foot out without trying. Really getting frustrated with the lack of variety for wide foot especially in women's sizing. Any recommendations on brands that cater to a wide foot? I'm paranoid i'm going to lay down another $500 for pair of skates that don't fit properly.

So I’m trying to buy the valo eb 1 blades but there size 13 left in stock:( , I’m just trying to go roll around and ride in it . I actually own a size 10 valo Soichiro 2 it fits perfectly, will the valo eb size look huge on me lol,I’m thinking of pulling the trigger on the valo eb 1, cause it’s the only size 13 left in stock in Italy :(

I have slightly wide feet and my mondo unit is 276.25 mm. I currently have size 44.5 Rollerblade tetras and they are too big. I am ordering size 44 micro plus , hopefully they fit better.

Hi Lino. Can you help me. I used to ride a lot every week to go to work : at least 90 km a week. I try to slide to brake but it is difficult for 2 reasons. First, I have a big backpack but I need to have it. Second, I have race wheels: 4×90 with a soft frame for bad weather and 3*110 dual density for good weather. I need to have confort. I do. I need to slide more. I don't. Race wheel are very strong, but it sticks me on the floor and gives me a too short length of brake even in 110×3. My weight is 92kg and my tall 190m. I am looking for wheels that have a good grip but that are able to slide well. And... not to weak .... that is a lot of kilometer with a set of wheels. What do you think about it ? There is a bit of a science to skating, especially Blades, fitting, wheels and the like. Age - for older beginners is a definite possible concern as their ankle might not be up to the demands (initially) of inline skating. I got a beginner as an older gent probably older than me (51) He only lasted about 10 minutes then had to swap to old skool skates for the support. I believe that you can build up (in most cases) to inlines from traditional, but that's definitely subjective. Listen to your sensors. When I started 46, my legs could only do 15 minutes before I had to take a break, but my ankles were fine.

Hey, Cheval: I am 46 and I roller skated now and then. With the blades now, I have a tight fit but my ankles bend a bit to the inside or the outside: is this normal? do you have to conciously correct your "standing line" all the time or a good fitting boot should have your heels dead-centered and not move an inch? I see no one talking about this in any video. To clarify I am not going to brake my ankles because the blades do support them, but I am a bit worried of standing for longer periods on just one foot because of this. Thanks

thank you so much i usually say the best is true to size..but the size differs from brand to brand, so the best is to look at the size charts and choose your right size.. ;) they tend to break in and get a bit more loose

Tanya Gates oh dammit.. that's an harder one.. but there are some liners that are FAtter then others. Check the CROWN LINERS from my fit ... they are ticket and could be a good option for thinner ankles 👍🏼hope this helped

Tanya Gates they are heat moldable and an extra wrap arround cud that will make the liner a lot ticker:: all In the same package...scroll down my videos. I made a review about it called ... something like "best liners ever " or something like that 😊👊🏼

I tried but couldn't find a video that corresponds with my question. I hope you don't mind that I ask here. I have Kaze 110 right now and I was considering getting a smaller indoor/race type wheel to switch out for use at the skating rink. Would I run into any issues using a smaller wheel on the same frame? Like a 100 or 90mm wheel. Thanks, I enjoy your vids.

VonJhonn I wear a 10.5 in Nike and got a 10, it seems to fit well. I've only skated an hour and a half session twice, but they don't seem to have broken in yet.

Hey, I'm still younger, so my feet are still growing. With this said, my feet are very big, like the rest of me. I wear a size 11 shoe and it feels comfortable, but I also want 12 so I don't have to retire them quickly. Any suggestions?

My powerslide NEXTs are 42-43 almost nine months using them and I'm starting to feel them very loose, I measured my feet and they're 253 mm in length so my inline skates are oversized for me, I'm currently thinking of buying the NEXT 110 but I'm not sure if the 38-39 would do because I think that 40-41 are also going to feel loose over time, what do you think Ricardo? because 38-39 are equivalent to 244-251 mm and my foot is just one millimeter longer, thank you in advance

The heel being snug is more important. Some toe room is acceptable; especially for a wide foot. Sizing too small and having your toe against the wall is not good for anyone.

Попович Алёша Hello I am the same width as you and a bit shorter in length 253 mm. I have tried both EU 40 and EU 41 and for me I cannot decide because the width of 40 is not really comforable but length is good. So for you I say go for the 41, not 42. But thats what I think, good luck!

Fernanda Abud no, it's not normal. Quad boots should fit just as snug as inline boots, otherwise what you describe happens.

If your skates are aggresive type, then yes it's normal. You will get used to it and wont notice, if you keep rolling :)

Hey Lino, I really like your videos. I am 35 and the last time I really went skating was in the 90`s (Just Half Pipe with my Roces Majestic 12). Now I started again, but of course just for fitness and some Fun. Your Channel helps me to get into skating again. At the moment I am Skating on normal 90 Euros Rollerblades but I want to buy some new Skates. Maybe you can help me with my choice. I picked some models from Powerslide, 1st POWERSLIDE Kaze Supercruiser 110, 2nd POWERSLIDE Imperial Supercruiser Pro 110. But I don't know if a Hardboot or the Kaze boot fits better for my style. I am trying to skate fast but also with some Jumps, Stairs and some tricks. I saw that you are skating the Kaze's. How do you like them?Best greeting from Germany

As for the skates off course it's up to your budget and what your loooking for in a skate.. the imperials are a bit more supportive but they aren't trinity... so the trinity is more responsive . Both of them are amazing .. on the other hand imperials last longer cause they're hard boots 😊 hope this helped. 👍🏼

Good advice! Sizing can be a bear. I have wide feet, and Seba was the only brand I tried that fit me well. My first skates, FRX80, I bought one European size too large due to inexperience. Buy snug skates!

Paul im interested in FRX 80 also and as a beginner i do not want to regret sizing. My problem is that 43 and 44 size shares shame shell. 43 shell has 27 insole and 27.5MP and 44 27.5insole with 28MP ( mp is liner lenght i guess). I am 27.5 without socks myself. Theoritically i should go for 43 and let em break in for snug fit, i get that. BUT wont i will end up with an original 44 by having a 43 size break in in a 44 shell ? Do you get what i mean ? So should i go for 43 just to have few months before it becomes what 44 would have from the get go ? Am i missing something as a beginner ? Is my theory wrong, are there any differences in shell construction other than liner i am missing that will make 43 size different than 44 other than bigger liner ? I dunno what to do with which size to buy, so confusing for me.

@@mariagoryacheva4141 Hi there, i ended up with FRX 80 42 size, it fitted really well specially after break in. The fit is perfect and im glad i bought 42 instead of 43. It really worked for me based on my feet stats

Something that was not told clear enough: Always check the mondopoint. For example EU 46 for Powerslide HC Evo Pros is 296mm and Rollerblade Crossfire Carbon has 298mm for EU46. The two mm difference might be crucial for some. Same for US size. My iGor is 12 with EU 47 wherease Powerslide EU 46 is 12.5 iirc.

@@prim.an.propher1505Sometimes the feet size is just on the edge of a skate size. For example feet is 280mm and skate says 280mm. Now it depends on personal preference but it is alwys good to add 1-2 mm space because of socks, ankle protection, orthopedic soles (protection and soles might need a bit more space). But as Ricardo said, the inliner needs to be as snug as possible.
