Just out of curiosity, will a shoe with a higher heel make you slide more since theres an uneven pressure? for example the C9 knits compared to the sst8 power frame boa. would i slide more with the c9 knit because of the higher heal and the center of gravity is more on the front by a little? im a 2 handed bowler and dont want too much slide but im trying to get out of foot planting, so im trying to determine what would be better.
So I'm relatively new to bowling but I ordered Dexter Mens Pro Am II Right Hand shoes. My question is as a right hand bowler and finishing on my left foot with my right foot sliding out, should the grip be on the right foot or left foot?
If one day you want to upgrade, as a right hander, you must have the grip on your right foot. It will give you more energy as you slide to the foul line! :)
If you look at the entry level stock, both shoes have the same sole. There is no difference between right and left at this level. If you look at a performance shoe, most of them are made for Left handed bowlers as well as right handed. Some shoes are even right and left convertible like the THE 9, where you only pick your size and then move your soles from one shoe to another. :)
