I wanted to see what others do to keep their microwaves clean and I read a lot of people complaining about how clean ithis microwave looked before starting. I do this after I use my microwave every time and it cleans my microwave well with this technique and keeps my microwave clean. I cannot imagine the filth in those people complaining but if you do this, it will clean your microwave, no doubt about it. I microwave the lemon in a bowl of water or pure distilled vinegar for 2-5 minutes depending on the grime.
I did this with a glass bowl it did not break nor explode...my lemon didnt burn. My microwave was soooo grose it took a lemon, a lime, and 20 minutes (did the whole process twice) but ultimately it worked, and it not only cleaned it but got rid of the aweful smell...it was bad in there. I was seriously contemplating just tossing it and starting over with a new microwave...but I tried it and the damn things like new...people, know that your tools are correct, use a little common sense, and maybe it will work...(side note if you use sooo mich water that the 10 minutes wont create steam out of the bowl...then its obviously not going to work...put it for more time its tue steam that loosens everything up)
I want to see someone cleaning the underside of an "overt the range" type of microwave. Not the vent filter screens; there are plenty of videos of that. I've never seen a video of someone cleaning the covers of the lights that at on the bottom of a microwave.
Random Ryan 900W is 0.9kW. 10 mins is 1/6 of an hour. 1/6 * 0.9 = 0.15 kWh added to your energy usage. In Joules this is 900*10*60 which is 540 000 Joules of energy or 540 kJ of energy in ten minutes. I do Physics :D this is a nice practice question!
Cosmo John it had a weak Acid, the acid will evaporate with the water vapour and break down the bonds between the monomers in the carbohydrates and proteins, the process is acidic hydration. It breaks shit down boi!
This is stupid! Get a small bowl, put water and a splash of dish detergent. Get a small cloth, soak in water with soap, squeeze excess water.. Wipe microwave for 1 minute or until clean. Advantage - no wasted lemon and electricity, done in 1 minute or less.
some people live with childeren or other people , and i end up using a lemon anyways to clean the microwave, same lemon to clean the range and counters.
