Sodium percarbonate (precursor to hydrogen peroxide when dissolved in water) is the norm, but some also use sodium metasilicate (or a blend of these). Make sure that any blend you create has an alkaline pH (don't mix acids and bases). Oxalic acid can be used post cleaning and rinsing to whiten to wood too, with emphasis on dark spots. Regarding percentages, do more research (it can be dependent on condition).

I use a 3200 PSI with no issue, the less degree the more careful you need to be. It’s all about keeping the proper distance at all times and using the proper tip.

I wouldn’t trust or support someone like this. I would look on RU-vid for another person who doesn’t hide chemicals and free information behind a pay wall. Having a system is different than chemicals. Your system is what makes your business not the chemicals. The chemicals are mostly universal so to hide basic information is just shady. Btw it’s usually a basic variety of cleaners degreaser and bleach etc Absolute 0 transparency

I've got know idea myself. But I'm guessing if the pressure washer itself doesn't have a flow rate regulator built in. You may be able to retro fit one to the outlet of your existing unit.🤔 D'know but since you have no other responses here's my 2cents worth. Happy washing 👍

Wait wait wait.. how should I clean my deck lol I tried the pressure washer w/ no Chems just to test it. Use a diff nozzle or something? I have a 2100 & 2700psi pressure washer..
@secraze3804
@secraze3804 2 года назад
The best way to clean it without damaging it is “soft washing”, Using chemicals to clean it. You can (if you want to do it yourself) put 50% water, 25% Sodium Percarbonate and 25% oxalic acid into a pump sprayer. Rinse down the deck, lay the chemicals, and let it sit for about 10 minutes. Using the normal bleach (SH) will damage the wood as will high pressure. As terms of rinsing, using a 2100 PSI pressure washer with a white tip shouldn’t damage it when rinsing.

The correct way to power Wash deck boards… As long poles not back-and-forth… I’ve done 5000 at least… If you go back-and-forth you get lap marks… And you can’t cover it with stain…

Sorry but this most definitely isn't softwashing when he is hitting it at the end with a pressure washer. What he is doing tho is pretreating with chemicals so that he can go easy on the pressure washer, which is literally what everyone who knows what they are doing would naturally do on a deck, with or without chemical treatment. Just because someone added captions to their video doesn't make it technically correct. He is using pressure, period. If he is also using high flow rate ontop of it, that is just more of a reason to be careful. Edit: I also want to add this before we have more quibbling over semantics. I have a 4000psi pressure washer with a nice heavy duty pump, adjustable of course, and I can literally turn it to the highest setting, toss on my 40 degree tip and water flowers with it if I wanted to. Does that mean I stopped pressure washing because I am no longer 8" from the surface? Does my wand turn into a softwash after two feet? I think not, it just demonstrates how much control you can have even with a powerful unit. He was simply using the pressure washer appropriately to not cause damage to the wood. Like anyone else naturally would with even slight experience with pressure washers.
