Another quick maintenance on AC system for this Mazda CX 5 . You will be surprised how dirty the fan is that had collected lots of dusts overtime.
It is recommended to clean it every once every year to ensure you get a clean air everytime & dont forget to replace your Cabin filter too.

Thank you! My fan blower is making noise at the higher fan speeds, which began when I replaced the old filter, which had debris and probably some fell into the fan. I understand this is a fairly common issue.

Thank you! I had the cabin air filter replaced on my Mazda 3 and my fan was making noise. I used this video to take the fan out and found a leaf in it. Popped it back in and no more noise!

Thank you! I discovered a whole bunch of acorns and leaves in my fan due to a big hole have been chewed through the cabin air filter. I'll give this a whirl soon as it looks straightforward.

Just an FYI: On my 2016 Mazda CX-3 GT, you don't have to remove the wiring harness at all to clean it. It has enough slack on it to remove the blower for access. Get a lot of animals here in the country and if the car sits too long, I find all sorts of debris inside the blower (which makes it vibrate at high fan settings)

Great i was searching videos on blower, i did find how to replace it, which is same steps, but those videos didn't say about cleaning. Mine is making a flutter sound and then shutting down then coming on. Im almost sure its just dirty and blocked up and maybe needs lubed back up.

yes definately can clean the motor and lube it up slightly so it wont make any scratch flutter sound inside the motor. 👍🏼

I bought a 2018 CX-5. It had the cigarette smoke masked. It wore off and the cigarette odor was pronounced to say the least. The fan blower cleaning will be another step at the removal of the smoke odor. Thanks Page 2, My 2018 CX-5 blower doesn’t have a spring clip. It has a pressed on fitting. Can’t be easily removed. Mazda must have seen your RU-vid video.

Fantastic video! Can you explain/make a quick video how yo disonnect the battery before doing this maintenance on the A/C unit? And then how to reconnect it? Would be really helpful as I can't find proper video online on how to do this on cx-5

I took blower fan out of my CX-5 very easy but I did not have the same clip to detach the fan wheel like it was in your video instead it looks like a piece a plastic wedged in between to clips any idea how to remove plastic clip without breaking. Thanks.

Mazda 3 2018 Japan import, when I took out the Blower I noticed my blades dont have a clamp to pull them out 🤔🥺. Any idea how to take the Blades out? I was able to clean them but not like you did. It did help with the noise a bit though

@@bawk2boom its locate behind there somewhere near by the water drain hose & would be abit difficult to replace due to limited area to work on. But it is do able just be patience. You turn the old resistor counterclockwise and press the electrical connection socket and you are all set.

Nice video -- but I thought a cabin filter takes care of dust? Almost seems a bit anal -- unless you have allergies or are trying to eliminate smoke odor.

Hi, Thank you for the good video. I have warmer air in the driver side and weaker flow than the passenger side. Is this because of the blend door actuator ? do you have a video describe how to change it?

Unfortunately havent had an issue with mine. But i believe it is located on the AC blower unit. Held by 3 screws. If yoy have full automated AC system theres 2 pcs actuator. One on driver and passenger side.

Check your ignition fuse. And did u disconnect the battery prior doing it ?

Hi Felix, the bottom black cover, just hook on the back only right? As when I take this part out, didn't notice is there any fitting at the back..

Sore pak felix, untuk blower sudah sy praktekan di mazda 2 sy sesuai arahan pak felix, hasil nya saya temukan kotoran lengket dan sudah sy bersihkan total. Sy mohon info pak kalau letak evap nya dmn ya pak? Kira2 lokasi nya posible untuk kita bersihkan atau tdk. Trimakasih pak felix

Evaps nya letaknya di tengah dashbor aga susah aksesnya. Tapi kalo ad selang vacuum atau selang kecil mungkin bisa di bersihkan.

I had an older vw from the 90s. The fan blower spindle got worn over time due dirt buildup, making funny noises, smells and can from cracks from debris like twigs that accidently get in if u replace cabin air filter. So its better to grease it once in a while instead of replacing rotten, corroded cables, fuses, spindles and u keep looking why it doesnt turn well :) In the mechanics world we learned, every moving part must be greased.

@@FelixDanGarasiAuto halo, montir barusan cek tp ternyata sekring aman, kabel dll aman. Filter td di cek kotor bgt dan ternyata fan gak nyala. Dicoba lg juga masih ga ada udara yg keluar. Kira2 knp ya? Montir sy gaberani mau cek krn takut full elektrik.
