How To Clean BluRays, X-Box & PS3 Discs For Errors Scratches smudges, dirt and dust can make your bluray discs not work. These discs are resistant to all of these things but you still run into the problem. This solution will work for Xbox one, Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Playstaton 5, Xbox one, and much much more.

Worked for me, thanks! I even seemed to have made little streaks with the cloth, but that was better than whatever crap was on there before. The disc was one disc in a series set, and I _really_ didn't want to replace the whole set...

Could you demonstrate what rubbing alcohol will do? I mean it’s not like anything important will be lost...

Too late... I used rubbing alcohol. Maybe a good micro fiber cloth will get it out? IMHO

Thanks you so much. I did was always nervieus when ordered games, then the blu ray disk swim around in the cover even selled' , do always check if any scratch/ damaged " Always been fine. now I understand why blu ray disk its scratch restistance made.

I use sandpaper....then finish it off with an angle grinder....pour petrol on the discs sometimes...and wow ...really cleans them

I got a lot of scratches on my Mortal Kombat XL disc and this didn't work but at least you tried to help. Btw I have the same microfiber cloth as you.

I rubbed dish soap on the disc, then submerged it in hot water for 5 minutes. It worked for me

Definitely not a shirt. Gotta treat like a camera lens or glasses, microfiber is best way to go I’d say. Careful pushing in grit and making scratches. and I was wondering if mild dish soap and distilled water would be okay too
