Thank you so much. I’ve managed to strip down my Niche, clean everything and put it all back together again. I feel quite pleased with myself but really it’s thanks to you and your nice clear video. Highly recommended.
Thanks for this video. I had a problem calibrating my Niche and the video made by Niche didn't help solve my problem. Now I know I need to first screw the bottom bit (only) to the calibration mark and then screw the upper bit to the desired point.
Hey! Thanks for the video. Is it necessary to screw the nfc disc tightly so it doesn’t rotate freely on its own or it can rotate loosely in the final position?
Hi Hoon, I really enjoy your videos, especially this one on how to clean the Niche. I actually have it on order and it's being delivered in September. Do you notice a different flavor in your shots between your built-in Breville grinder vs the Niche?
Hey Tracey, it's been a year since you should have received your Niche grinder. I ordered one about two months ago and it arrived a few days ago. The first few attempts to pull shots were really bad. I've only been making about two cappuccinos per day so I haven't had a whole lot of time to get it dialed in, but I think I'm getting a lot closer now. The two I made today were pretty good, but not what I would call great. I imagine after a year, yours must be really good. What is your experience with the Niche after a year?
@@jimhand2734 Hi Jim, I am still liking the Niche. It is very consistent with the grind, but have found the settings tend to creep a bit. I still find it difficult to dial in after cleaning, which I do every three months because I use dark roast beans. This is probably me just being dumb, but I love it still as much as the day I bought it. Good luck with yours and I hope we can keep in touch from time to time on your experiences with it.
@@jimhand2734 Hey Jim, it's been 6 months since youyou have received your Niche grinder. Just joking :D, btw how is your experience and do you recommend it? i'm thinking of buying one because i've been using a Rancilio Rocky grinder for 7 years it's good but has a massive retention and for 7 years she took great care of me.
I did the same calibration steps but it was still way off and chocked my Bianca like crazy. Before I was grinding my coffee on 16 for ristritto. However, after calibration even on 22 Bianca was chocking.
I just cleaned Niche grinder and I was at 15 now at 22 setting after cleaning. Is this normal? I did calibrate the grinder. Espresso results are 18grams and 35 grams out in 26 seconds.
It can go out of calibration if you try to rotate it by the silver top. Once calibrated, I put a piece of tape on the side of the silver dome and marked it with a sharpie.
