I had the equipment already (tubing, syringe & isopropyl alcohol) & followed this process. I pushed about 5ml of isopropyl alcohol through my blocked magenta nozzle and bingo - 3-4 cleans & a few big prints later it is 100% good as new. Thank you for posting this.
Isopropyl should work. I'm actually here looking for confirmation lol. However on higher end, production-level machines with print heads that cost thousands to replace, we're never supposed to use isopropyl on the heads. Only the proprietary solution which definitely isn't iso and I would be sure to wear ppe when working with ink solvents.
@@danpedersen3120 Thats all i takes? ... why did i buy print cleaning kit for that.......... I bought about 1 gallon of 99% isopropyl alcohol a year or two ago and still have most of the gallon here...
I have been fighting with my new printer for days. I have tried different methods and nothing has worked. Thanks to you I got ink coming out of my printer now. Now I have to figure out how to get the ink out of the cartridges lol. Thank you I’m one step closer to going back to work
I get nothing but blank pages on my WF-7720. I've done nozzle checks, printhead cleanings and purges. I'm praying this will work!! I'm pacing an order for the cleaner today!
I just used this and when I was done the printer didn't print anything at all... However, it seemed to me that using common sense, the cleaner fluid is what is in the printhead... so I let the printer clean the printhead I think four times and now everything works great. It's probably a product that could be easily reproduced, but I'd rather pay a little more than driving from store to store.
Thanks for the instruction which I carefully followed. Now the printerheads release no Ink at all, even after replacing the cartridges with new ones. Please advise. Thank you Harry
Did you ever figure out why they weren’t releasing ink or how to fix it?! I’m having the same issue and have tried absolutely everything I could think of and/or find online as far as troubleshooting goes….
Ok I’m not alone here. Bought used 7710 that sat for months. Mechanics work fine. I had some black ink show up but no color. Bought new ink so I did the clogged ink process. Now blank pages
My workforce 7710 has been printing greenish pictures for some time now and tried the nozzle check and all that stuff didnt work I seen this video and purchase this stuff and my printer is good as new I highly recommend and its easy just like the video took me 5-10 minutes :)
After running the solution through and disposing of the paper towel, does the printer need to sit unused for any length of time or can the cartridges be put back in and printing continue?
Cartridges should be in the open for as less time as possible because more and more air is sipping into the cartridge, it will take a lot of ink to clean that out.
I think what I will do is put just a little solution in each one to get it wet and let it start to dissolve the dried ink first, then go back and flush it out. I'd also want to replace that paper towel at least a couple of times rather than get it completely saturated as you did. Maybe do the first and third one, replace the towel, then do the second and fourth. Good video though. I have plenty of syringes but I need the correct size tubing.
Well, I did all this with your kit and now the printer says error code:0x9a and it doesn't print at all. Ink cartridges are brand new never been used. My guess is that 20ml of your cleaning solution x 4 holes for a total 80ml liquid is more liquid than a few sheets of paper towels can absorb and now there's liquid in the printer? I just bought 2 XL packs of all colors printer ink for $160 thinking all would be fine. Any thoughts here or do I need another printer?
What do I do if the syringe isn’t pushing any of the liquid in? It looks like it should flow easily. Is it possible the printer head is too clogged to let any of the liquid inside? Any advice?
Ok, I got the liquid to flow through after some time and patience, thank you! Now, it looks like the printer is only printing in large strips. Any advice to tackle this?
Hey Brandon. Just came across your video. I was great. I'm looking for addvice. I have the Epson WF 7720 and I would like to know which Continuous Ink System will work best. Which one would you recommend? Thanks. I'll check back for which one you suggest.
question on sublimation conversion. many people convert these to sublimation inks but they recommend first putting in the original inks and then replacing them with the sublimation inks. could this solution be used to clean out the old standard inks from the initial setup? that would help offset the sublimation inks you would have to use to clear the lines of the old - with the new? the reason for starting it up for the first time with the original ink is to make sure the printer works. if you begin with sublimation inks - it would void your warranty. so people tend to wait until their warranty expires - then convert.
I followed these instructions to the letter, I have the identical printer (with the extra paper tray), I only had an issue with magenta, so I pushed 5ml of this solution through there, and removed the paper towel. I left it for about 12 hours, now the printer doesn't print anything. The black is coming through very faint, but no other colours are being applied, I'm just getting blank sheets of paper out. Help!
Belinda Mills this is the video my ink company sent me. I had to get a new printer because it was ruined! Epson sent me one. Try this video tho www.inkxpro.com/kb_results.asp?ID=66
Make sure you flush the nozzles just with air a couple of times after unclogging them with the actual solution (in my case some didn't unclog so I used hot water, flushed with air then cleaned with isopropyl alcohol).
@@tarapetsch6474 thanks so much for sharing your video. I was just about to offer the printer cleaning kit and decided to read the comments first. Using air to flush out to unclog my printer was a quick fix and didn’t cost me a dime. 😊
Actually, for this printer model, it will fully flush the sublimation ink out completely just keep applying the solution until the paper towel under the printhead is clear.
I have 6 wide-format Epson Workforce printers (2 Workforce 1100's, two 7610's, and two 7720's) sitting on my garage shelf... where printers go to die. About once a year they clog to the point of no return and I have to buy another one. My operational 7720 just stopped printing Magenta. So here I am. Last ditch effort before heading to Office Depot to purchase my next future contribution to the garage shelf.
I used this product today. I followed the directions exactly as shown in this video. All of my print heads were working except magenta. I used this on my Epson WF-7720 which I paid $300 for 2 years ago. I maybe print 20 sheets a week and it has worked great up until the magenta head got clogged. I used this cleaning product and now nothing at all prints. I've tried everything. I flushed all the heads, realigned the heads, cleaned the heads, put in brand new toner and NOTHING. I'm really sick to my stomach over it. I can't even print black and white. BUYER BEWARE.
Ugh. Sorry it happened to you too! I ended up having to buy an new printer. The seller did refund my money for the product, but it was little consolation for having to spend another a couple hundred dollars on a printer when mine was only 2 years old with minimal use. I did happen to find the same printer on sale at Best Buy for $200 instead of the $300 I paid two years ago. I debated a different printer altogether, but this one had features others didn’t and met my needs perfectly until the clogged head. Good luck!
As soon as you stat to see colors fading or after a long time of the printer not being used. However the best preventive maintenance is to keep your ink levels full.
Hi dear I have a epson x330 sublimation printer every copy has lines going across. I have cleaned the print head and nozzle mMy time and the picture is mot clear and has lines. What can I do.
Absolutely not working. Only cyan was not working, after I bought and ran the cleaner through, none of the colors were working any more. Followed the instructions to a letter. After some prints, black came though a bit, but the other colors don't work any more. Returning the product for a refund and buying a new printer.
Thought about ordering kit but wanted to see if my ink carriage would unlock to slide over. Went into maintenance>ink replacement.... it did its left to right sweep of the ink carriage but its locked at the right and cant slide it to the left to where I would even be able to get paper towel under it. Theres resistance like the carriage is locked in place, i dont want to force it and strip gears..... Is it supposed to feel that way?
I just came here because I was having the same issue. Look at the video, when he takes out the ink. Take out the ink cartridges, close the cover, and then slide it gently. It will slide. (I know your comment was 11 months ago, but it might help the next person with same issue).
Best Printers I have the same problem, warmed up the solution and even let it sit 12 hours, ink port still jammed. Solution won't go thru. what do I do? by the way, now only black is printing, making the printer worse than it already was. thank you!
Thank you very much for your video. The kit worked great and, after printing a few sheets and cleaning the print heads, all is back to printing normally!
I bought the kit, clean it twice and im still having the same issue, im not sure what am i doing wrong? only black is showing and the other ones are NOT. My printer screen is showing i'm almost empty on my cartridges but they are NOT. They r full, so im not sure what to do? can u please help me? I alredy use half of the bottle. Thanks
Yes, run a printhead cleaning. You can find this in the settings under maintenance. This should push the ink back into the system after you have used the B.P. cleaning kit. The cartridge problem you are having is common, dont mind it just run the printer like you normally would.
@@BestPrinters I've been working on it all day and i'm still cant get it to work, i tried to print something and NONE of the colors are showing, i'm running out of CLEANER. idk what else to do, now only MAGENTA is showing FULL color and Black is almost HALF, blue and yellow r not showing at all. i'm very frustrated it n idk what else i need to do. if someone can help me through a video call? so u or they can guide me or I show them what's happening? I need HELP desperately pls. Thanks
NVM... I just figured out, finally got all the colors back but now is the black one giving me a hard time. Thanks anyway, hopefully is not gonna happen again
Hi. I have used cleaning solution and did printhead cleaning via the printer. I am still getting mixed results. the black will not print anything and the other colors will print one moment, missing lines the next or nothing. I'm really trying not get another printer.
Seems like several people are having this problem. But this guy doesn't offer any help. I did see one person say he refunded the cost of the cleaning kit.😒
Anyone can help me...I did the same but now when i try to print is show me only white plain paper ... is not printing anything at all. Can anyone help me please.
Hi. I have an Epson 1430 large format printer. I've followed your instructions with an ink cleaning kit, but I still cannot get any ink to flow through to the paper when printing. I am getting black ink when I pull up the solution in the tube (pulling back on the plunger), so it seems that the immediate clog may be gone. Do you have an suggestions as to what might be the real issue? Other than this the printer seems to work perfectly. I'm stumped...
Bought it. Tried it. Did it with the video on. Everything looked like it should. Put in new ink. Now none of the heads print. Have a Workforce 7620 which is not cheap. Will try to rescue it some other way. BTW, the WF-762 is a POS, so stay away from those as well. I still think Epson purposefully puts malware in their printers to give a lousy print job if you buy someone else's ink and not theirs.
@@ericajones8952 - partially. Bought a kit from Best Printer's Tech, who I think has a video on RU-vid (see link above) Doesn't work as easy as shown and is a lot messier. After numerous printer self cleanings, got most, but not all of the functionality back. Be careful not to use too much fluid. I still need to give the yellow nozzle a second cleaning. Finding the time is hard. Printing not a priority for me (wife uses it more); and basically use black only for what I print. Will probably redo them all, but one printhead at a time. I might just use plain rubbing alcohol which I did a couple of years ago which also works.
Well I did this because the yellow was clogged and no colours are printing at all. I guess because there is too much cleaner fluid in the system. How do I fix that?
@@katrinaalexander28 absolutely. I followed the instructions exactly. When I powered it up I got nothing. Printer is now giving an error message. Itrs dead.
People, don't buy into this because it does not work. I purchase the kit and new ink and the problem did not go away. just wasted money that is all. I will call Epson now and ask them what is wrong. Wish I had done this first.
@@marckleejoseph2498 I had the same error code a few months ago. Epsom said it was a mechanical issue. Since I was still under warranty I took it back and got a refund
OK, I feel stupid now--ya know that yellow tape they put on the cartridge that says "REMOVE"? (eyerolls) Long story short, didn't need the kit, but I have it just in case.
@@BestPrinters How many times do I need to run a print head cleaning before the ink returns?! Because so far, we’re over 2 weeks in and I’ve ran it at least once a day (most days, multiple times) and I still can’t get anything to print…..
Give your life to Jesus Christ. Believe and pray: *"God, I know that I am a sinner and unless you save me I'll be lost forever. I believe that Jesus Christ is the true Son of God, died on the cross for my sins and arose on the 3rd day. I accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen."* Just not sure about it? Then say aloud, *"Jesus Christ, if you are the Truth, then reveal yourself to me."* What do you have to lose?
