Simple method for cleaning the head of the Epson XP series 500 and over, using a moulded adapter. The kit is available from printheadhospital.com/epson-x...
Thank you so much! I picked up an XP 830 that was not passing nozzle checks and not printing without black gobs of ink. Went through the entire process and then got error 0xea...turned out the plastic guide strip was dirty. Cleaned that and all is well.
Very professional and concise video, I was just watching this before considering buying a second hand XP-700 from eBay in case it had been neglected to see if the cleaning process was awful or not. Looks alright, lets hope it gets to me in good condition though.
Great video, but any chance of a video showing how to dismantle an XP600 in order to clean the underside of the scanner glass? It would be much appreciated by me and many more, I feel sure. Thanks again.
Hi. It works the first time, but now it looks like I am at the end of the road. My Epson XP-900 is printing with missing lines. I have had done everything, but no luck. I must say that I used sublimation ink with this printer all the time. Any suggestions? Thanks. PS I did use Printer refresh.
Touched the coding strip. Gently cleaned it with microfiber cloth. Restarted which didn't work. Removed cartridges using the menu setting for reopening cartridges then it worked again
My printer prints the "nozzle check" and "head alignment" just fine, but anything else it passes the paper halfway through the main printing area (so the paper passes momentarily under the print head) then it retracts the paper and says "paper jam".Why is this?
Try reinstalling the printer drivers on your computer. Also try pulling the power cord out half way through a nozzle check pattern: this forces the printer to soft reset and can clear some errors, including paper jam.
