How to Clean Musicozy Wireless Bluetooth Sleep Headphones (Easy Step-by-Step Washing Instructions) 

This headband is a lifesaver. I'm deployed in a bay with like 20 other dudes and virtually all of them snore like a damn bear. Blast my white noise app and the sound of a thunderstorm completes drowns the snoring out and I slee like a baby. I've been washing mine with just old fashioned handsoap and it gets the job done.

An update to my earlier comment, I was able to hand wash my music cozy that has the non-removable speakers that are sewn in with a visible complete round stitched circle. I went back to my Amazon order history and confirmed that the one I bought had speakers that were not removable and okay to hand wash. I've done it twice so far and no change in how great the speakers sound. I still have to remove the main thingie that you plug in to recharge of course!

Good video here but it's a little outdated already & only applies to SOME models of these headbands, even though they LOOK identical. - On some newer types of Musicozy's, I don't believe you can actually remove the speakers themselves. You CAN (And should) remove the Control Module part before any washing. It just comes out at the top through an opening that kind of stretches open, and then you unplug the speaker wires from it. A pair of small needle nose pliers can really help to unplug & plug back up these wire ends. (They just pull out & push firmly back in)...The actual speakers on these are in sort of sewn up compartments and there's no way to remove them that I have found. I believe I asked this of their support once & was told they do not come out but to remove the control module. So I can only surmise that these (speakers) are made someway to be water proof & safe for at least Hand Washing, and are supposed to be OK to leave in. ...Personally, I have not tested this yet by washing mine. I would advise really letting them AIR DRY for a LONG time (Like over night) before using again though if you DO wash them. And HAND WASH only for sure. 👍

You can detach the wires from the controls. With the sleep mask (which I have), the company includes a small tool to carefully remove the connectors. Feeding the wires back to the middle will be a lot easier with them removed, but this CAREFULLY. I low tumble dried mine since it is winter and very cold out.

I took the ear phones and the module out as instructed. But as Ingot the pieces out the rest of the cord seems to be sawn in. Cannot pull the rest of the cord out of the headband. What is your recommendation?

Mine does not have the sleeve you are talking about so how do a take the wire and headphones out of it

Put the "control box" in first ,it sets it up for you and is x10 easier than threading the speakers through first.

Are these things dryer safe with the electronics out? I didn’t think to wash them until after the sun went down so I can’t air dry in the sun…

What about the charging wire? I don't think I saw that in your video. I haven't tried to remove my electronic elements yet. I wanted to watch the video first. I wear my all day and most of the night. It gets really sweaty. I've been using the Tide fabric spray and wondered about washing it. Your video is very informative. Thank you.

What's the difference between washing it this way vs the washing machine?

The side that's unsewn is too small to push the box thru. SoI pulled gently at the base of the box the two white connectors to the head phones and removed everything

Wait, you can wash clothing in a sink by just putting in the same stuff you'd put in the washing machine? I'm just realizing how much stuff my parents neglected to teach me.

annoyingly the ones i ordered you could not remove the headphones at all. Only the module was removeable and it said it was washable....they lied :-(

I just bought another after the battery would no longer charge on the old micro. The box is sewn in. Also the head phones are hard round plastic and hurt and constantly move out of position. In the older model they were foster, softer, and flexible. I don't like the new design and the website doesn't explain how to remove the control panel! I want to connect the old speakers to the new headset. Or better yet put the new electronics to the old head wrap because this new one always comes off my head. Another case of "improvements" that ruined a good thing! 🤬

Is there a way to turn off that woman’s voice telling me I’m connected etc. …..her yelling into my ear when I’ve just finished a sleep hypnosis music is not pleasant. Anyway to turn her off ?

I think even though this is good/useful advice, I’ve found that a sanitary wipe might work well as long as your let it dry. I wouldn’t want to break it.

Over 7 minutes is WAY too long for these instructions. So many easy edits could have been made and key points could have been highlighted. I should also mention in passing that the product itself is very poorly designed. (I have one.) It could have been made with longer flaps or velcro to make removing the electronics easier. Avoid the product, avoid this video, and you won't have to deal with any of this.
