I have followed your video, clean for clean and am now waiting for the 24hr drying process. Thank you so much for ALL the detail. Amazingly helpful. Hope to see more helpful videos from you xx
I can’t thank you enough for this video. I love my Shark cordless vacuum with two rechargeable batteries. I use it every day. Mine does not have the flex rod but all else is same. I followed along and took it completely apart and cleaned just like you did and reassembled. It had gotten sluggish but now it cleans like a beast again. I’m 74 and wanted something without cords that I could trip over. It’s wonderful. I also have the big Shark upright for carpets. It’s amazing too. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
Brought this baby home from work I’ve worked there 1 year and the whole time this shark has sat in office Dead I bought my shop vac in couple times, but I just got sick of it and grabbed it to fix thanks for ur help showing me how to get it clean. We will see if it comes back! Lol
Thanks. I cleaned mine but I had forgot the one cylinder inside of the Dust bin. at first when I put it back together, It was straining the unit and shutting off. All clean now. Thanks Again. I Love mine too.
Thank you very much for this video. My Vacuum stopped picking up. Your video will be of great help BUT I would like to see EXACTLY HOW to dismantle it.
Thanks a million. Mine was just not staying on (lights were but the vacuum wouldn’t spin and the motor would stop seconds later), so I saw you pull out those two filters and I believe that was the issue. UDAMAN thanks again.
Thanks for the informative video. I will give my Duo a cleaning very soon. I have this same vacuum and it’s the best I’ve had with exception of a Hoover upright I had many years ago. This Sharp Duo is better than an Oreck and Dyson I’ve owned. It’s lightweight, easy to figure out.
Nice video. I’ve actually gotten mine way dirtier with pet hair, vacuuming around a litter box and carpets. I rinse mine with the sink spray, very carefully of course, to get all the dirt out of the crevasses in the canister. I also spray it with disinfectant and let it air dry.
In the head of the vacuum mine also has an orange filter inside the small chamber (U.K) Yours is orange. Mine twists out also and can be washed. Great video 😊
I search YT for this vacuum as I always forget how to release the canister to clean it. Boy did I ever get a thorough lesson on taking care of my vacuum. Great job on showing how to clean and the features. Sharp should sponsor you. I support your work 100%, all except stay away from my kitchen sink, too much human DNA😁😆😀
I love your video ❤ I've got mine all taken apart and still have a issue with the back bristle roller stopping. I've got new belts to put on but don't want to put them on with it not spinning easily .
Is it normal for both compartments of the canister to fill up with debris? I empty it after every use but I am a little confused on this? Thank you for the great video!
Clean with an air compressor (100 psi or more), no need to use water, about 5 minutes and back to vacuum again. Check the long tube along with the connection to the head, it could be clogged. Long tube use a long stick to push the junk out. The tube connection to the head, use hemostat forcep.
The shark is much better than the Dyson in performance and battery life. Dyson gets you when you need to replace the battery. The price of a replacement OEM battery is almost 75% if the cost of the vacuum. Good luck trying to find an aftermarket battery on Amazon. That's a crap shoot in finding one that actually works when you receive it. Been there done that. Oh yeah, great video 👍
My daughter has the if200, i dismantled it enough to remove the hard brush roller because it was jammed and would not rotate. The issue is that i could not see how it was possible without damage to remove the drive gears at each end. Behind them are the mounting flanges where its not possible to remove any built up hair, i was olny able to remove a few strands. It very much looks like the gears mounted on bearings are a press fit onto the shafts, it would have been better if they were retained by a washer and nut in order to remove the crud inaccessible. One other thing after extensive searching could not find a new replacement, there are plenty of the front ones.
Thank you for making this video! New sub! Extremely helpful & I purchased the aftermarket filters with your link since I never ever cleaned out my filters since I bought mine 4 years ago 🤦🏽♀️ I have a question though- Have you eve cleaned the shaft part of the vacuum, and if so, what was your process? Thank you!
I love this vacuum too. But the other day I used it to suck up plaster dust/debris. I cleaned it out as best I could but it's letting off an odd smell..pretty sure I ruined it huh?
This video has a lot of good info in it but too much bad-mouthing other people and videos. Being negative to other people doesn’t make you better. Your info without that would be much more pleasant and professional.
Man I appreciate your time with the video but I'm not sure I would be putting water on the brush part like you did. There is a chip in there a circuit board rather and wiring and a little motor. I know because I just took mine apart. So be careful with getting too much water in there guys
My vacuum has a lot more hair stuck on the brush. My hair is very long, down to my hips, so my vacuums are always really hard to clean. I was hoping I could take the main brush off to cut it easier. The hair is wrapped around real tight.
Torrent showed how to remove the front brush and I have done that several times. As far as I know the back brush is not removable by customer. Probably a dealer could disassemble the Shark but I'll bet the bill would be a hundred dollars.
So I did all this and for some reason I feel like it overheats and it turns off after like 5 mins and the control you see it goes from tile to carpet and blinks back and forth and turns off.. has that happened ?
I had this same problem. I was about to replace it with the new Dyson v15 but I called Shark and they are going to send me a new power head. I might still buy the Dyson but I'm glad that my ionflex is going to be working properly again. I really like this machine
Why on earth would you leave it that long without clearing that front roller ...it stops picking up effectively, even if using it daily check it daily.. can't be good for the motor ..
When I shut off my vacuum and stand it up right the dirt falls out of the bottom. I’ve done this type of cleaning and unclogging with no results.....any ideas?
Same here. I do all the stuff in this video anyway.... im guessing its maybe dirt inside the pipe and sometimes get blockages in the pipe where the head is. And then I'll replace filters in case damaged
I personally prefer the durability of the shark over the dyson vacuums. I am extremely hard on the vacuums. I personally use on a daily basis for 5 hours a day of constant vacuuming I use a shark rocket. However at my house i do have a dyson as it does a fantastic job in cleaning my small house. If i had kids, a larger home, lots of carpet, and multiple hard surfaces I would go with the newer version of the shark cordless rocket. I just bought my mom one that has a self cleaning head and is cordless and it does a fantastic job on the animal hair from her dog. Shark makes a more durable vacuum, however the suction on a dyson almost can't be beat. I will take durability over suction and spend a little more time cleaning the areas than worry about dropping a $300 vacuum once and breaking it like I have done on over 10x dysons. Hope this helps.
Who leaves a comment like this on someone's channel. What is wrong with you Raegan. Checked your channel out you should stick to curling hair and justin beiber vids on your playlist.
Yes you are spot on. he says he cleans it every week, so he should be able to do it blind folded. I can't split the middle tube. the button one presses does not go in to release for cleaning.
