I just used mine today and it doesn't work well on carpet. In fact, it torn the corner of my rug. It got caught on the corner of the rug and tore it. The next thing that is wrong with this vacuum, is that the hose is very short. It's not long enough. I might just give this away. I got it on sale at Target and I only paid $75.00 for it. I really hate that it torn the corner of my rug and it was on the lowest setting.
