From my experience using my ultrasonic cleaner for small carburetor parts. You can take a small sandwich bag and fill it up a little with your cleaning solution, put your small parts in there. Submerge it in the cleaner and it works just as well. And keeps all the tiny bits together.

I don't know why I haven't thought of using an ultrasonic cleaner for my airbrush, but it certainly would take the work out of it, thanks for the idea! I'm interested in your line of paints too, going to look into them at your website for sure, you certainly influenced me when you did all of that testing of paints, especially with alclad paints, I now have a load of their paints in my collection! Thanks for all the work you do, I, for one really appreciate it, it saves me the expense and time and effort! Gonna get a ultrasonic cleaner for myself now too!

I started with a small 40khz cleaner and it was great for basic cleaning. Then I tried a friend's 45khz cleaner and that thing works so much better. it'll break away old, dried paint super quick. ultrasonic cleaners (at least a 1L capacity) is essential for airbrushers and resin kit builders!

I have one of these and use it all the time to clean my iwata airbrushes amazing results I usually use the window cleaner it eats all paints. I even clean my old Tamiya paint bottles in it the heat of the water makes the label fall of to so I don’t have to worry about that. I even chuck the lids in. But I never thought to clean my kit parts in it so you have just saved me a tonne of time and effort there. Thanks for all the wonderful videos I really enjoy your channel. Another great video Rob! I have an ultrasonic cleaner and had a bad experience- i cleaned my wifes glasses, and mine, using the cleaner and scratched the lenses so bad the glasses were unusable! Just days before a vacation! It was totally my fault, I used the Harbor Freight powder cleanser that came with ultrasonic cleaner. My tip: always use a liquid soap! A drop or two of dish soap works well for me.

Hi from Spain. I would use the plastic tray when you put things in the ultrasonic cleaner since the vibrations of metal with metal can damage them. I have an ultrasonic cleaner but seldom use it since I clean my airbrush throughly after each paint session. I remember when I received mine, cleaned my airbrush and there was no dirty left on the water. After that I use it mainly for cleaning watches and other stuff. Keep up with your channel. Great video as usual. I like using a fine screen tea infuser ball for the small parts of the airbrush like the tip and nozzle. Normally don't fool with ultrasonic cleaning the lever parts around the button or the back end of the brush where no paint goes. Mostly use the ultrasonic cleaner for the paint cup, needle, tip and nozzle and areas the paint got on. The ultrasonic cleaner works great on paint brushes used with acrylics, gets the paint out of the ferrule, paint residue just boils out!

Ultrasonic cleaners work great especially when you have stuff that has very fine ports. Back when I would do hand drafting using a technical pen set, the finest pen I would use was 6X0 (0.13mm). There was no way to clean the needle port without using an ultrasonic cleaner. Back then, the cleaners, even a small one were very expensive. I don't know why I never thought of using one for my airbrush.

I have a few sizes. Besides cleaning airbrushes, I also clean bicycle gears, bushings/bearings, brass model railroad engines/parts, eyeglasses, metal watch bands & even used to clean my mother's dentures. I use spring loaded tea leaf baskets to hold fine parts.

Looks nifty. Not sure I'd put my airbrush in one, but the results looked nice. Seems like this would be best for old kits that need tons of gap filler (and thus, usually get filthy once you get done with all that sanding).
