Hi, great video. One question. Why did you put your HDD in caddy after cloning the OS? My HDD screws are tight and I cant put it in caddy in DVD slot, so will it be okay if I keep the SSD in caddy and use it to boot the laptop?

Thanks, Yes it will work fine... but not as good as when you install it in the place of HDD...

Hi you can go for either ssd as per your preference... I've been using wd green no issues works just fine... If you want to just use the SSD, then you can clone your HDD to the SSD...

I cannot open the flat type screw below the CD drive as I damaged the screw tried to open it.i can't open the panel without it. Any solution please to open the damaged screw .

Try and bend the screw head upwards (don't bend it to much or it might break), then use a plier to rotate the screw, hope it helps...

Hi bro, i am getting an error code 9 while cloning. If I do not select the partition 4, the cloning gets completed but then I only see recovery drive has been cloned. Tried multiple solutions but didn't work for me. Could you please help?

Hi if I remember correctly all I had to do was sign in with my Microsoft account... And yeah I had the geniune licence did not have to buy a new one etc...

Bro my hdd is in its original place and the ssd is in the caddy. While opening the bios, which option needs to be selected to boot from ssd

Check the name of your SSD in the BIOS and move it the top as boot option 1...

What if, recovery and WinRE etc is not clone ? Only windows C drive is clone ?

Without Winre the laptop won't boot into recovery mode and without recovery you won't be able to reset the pc too factory settings, anyways I tried to reset my laptop recently and it didnt work anyways...

I had tried to clone the drive but it was not able to boot. So re-tried to clone, for that used the CMD command "DISKPART - clean" and cleaned the disk. On disk management it shows only one drive partition but on macrium it shows 16MB "unformatted Primary". So will you please tell how to clean hard drive completely.

Hi yes change the boot order, coz by default i think the dvd rom is the first boot device...

I've a doubt! What if I can't remove my HDD drive always so I could go to bios and switch off my HDD drive ... It is ok for the installation process instead of removing it physically???

Yes you can try that, i removed the HDD coz i was moving it to the Caddy...

@@DomGamingnMore how mine showed error.... I have cloned all drives (except local disk) then i disconnect hdd and press f11 the recovery manager showed an error Can i leave recovery partition as it is HDD because i m using both SSD+hdd,SSD for Booting only..

did u clone the recovery partition too? did u copy all the partitions that i showed in the video? coz i just tried F11 and that worked for me, no errors...
